Re: How much of the periodic table do you have memorized?

I know the symbols for most of non metals, plus the first couple of rows of transition metals and the more commonly alluded to ones. I could probably make a decent guess at everything else. I know the mass of all the ones I use frequently :D. So pretty much anything you find in organics, common acid...

Re: Final Fantasy X shall be the end of my sanity.

You know that most people just don't get the right? They finish the game, get all the espers, play something else.
Your sainity need not die! See the light! The power of Christ compels you! *throws holy water*

I finished, got all the espers and I think that's it. Yuna is so rigged by the end :P

Re: Books that make you genuinely laugh

The Red Dwarf books, Douglas Adams (shock horror, I know), Bridget Jones' Diary, Bill Bryson - especially A short history of nearly everything. Harry Potter a couple of times. Actually I think they last thing that had me burst out laughing was a fanfic (a good one, bad ones make me cringe rather tha...

Re: In need of a specific reccomendation

Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier.
Nice long book with sequals, has the fantasy element, better romance than twilight (not that hard), female protaganist. Not contemporary though.
I enjoyed them immensly when I was 16 and am still reading anything she writes.

I'll second Tamora Pierce.

http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/7885/errorbylunaxllamayu2.png  Came for the hype, stayed for the soap opera. Most of the characters are pretty unlikable and the entire last book series read like a fanfic, yet somehow I finished them anyway. Still not sure why, the same hypnosis that worked...

Scrambled, yolk and white must be united for eggs to be any good.

Re: Best meal you ever had

Restaurant in Paris, I have no idea what it was called or how many stars it had.
I had fish burre blanc (a kind of butter sauce). It was soooo good! I never did find out what kind of fish it was XD. Couldn't understand the menu beyond Burre Blanc

Odd dining experiences.

Two friends and I ended up buying Sukiyaki at a restaurant With sukiyaki they bring you a pot of boiling broth on a burner and a big pile of ingredients, you add them and cook it yourself at the table. We had such a fun time we decided we should make a thing of going out and eating at odd places. So...

x = warm turkish bread.
It's at least 10x more delicious than pita bread. It's a scientific fact.In fact anything is better with warm turkish bread.

Re: Childhood (not so) crackpot theories

I can't remember my exact working but I remember predicting the gravitational constant about a year before I learnt about it in class.
Something along the lines of of if x amount of mass bends space y amount then we can use one to determine the other.
Now if only I could do it with something new

Mine's in a national park halfway up the state (Victoria, Australia).
It's on a road at least, would be a good place to meet up if it wasn't so far. :(
Can I be bothered? Probably not.

I am a girl, give me an EMP cannon and I swear I'll follow you around and fry idiots' PCs. People online always tend to always assume you're a guy. It's a bit annoying. You post something mentioning your gender and you get a lot of "Oh me yarm we have a girl on the forums!" I guess that's ...

In Children of the Mind, it was this gigantic car-sized missile that moved pretty fast, but standard operating procedure meant that it spent at least a good fifteen minutes in open space where anybody with a BB gun could shoot it down. Hardly a logical evolution of the weapon. I think after the xen...
