Re: Router Problem (Connected to DNS, but not loading web pages)

I didn't cause the general failure. It just said that. Also, I was on a wireless network when I did that traceroute. It's connection isn't that great.

I'm curious... Can you use a proxy to access XKCD? If so then I think it has to do with the router's cache..... I think you can clear it this way... I remember my friend explaining it to me. However this is all something I have no knowledge on. So it's possible I'm just talking crap XP. Worth an eff...

Freezepop is a Bostonian Synth-Pop band that is most noted for their songs in games like Guitar Hero 1 (Get Ready to Rokk), Guitar hero II (Less Talk More Rokk), Brainpower (Rock Band), and Frequencies (Science Genius Girl (Phi Edit)). They came to San Antonio! I got to see them live and pictures! a...

Re: RAM issues

I honestly wouldn't worry. I think the Ram passing 3071/3072 Mbs doesn't refer to anything messing up. RAM's capacity is measures in Bytes, but I don't think it work's in Bytes. Like... Correct me if I'm wrong but you can't say one Mb of 1024 Mb of RAM is "broken". Like a Hard Drive; altho...

Re: RAM issues

I think you mean MB. In any case I would guess a gig Ram isn't an exact 1024 MBs but rather 1023.x

1024+1024+1024 = 3072 (Or 2048+1024). So one less than expected. Very odd though. I can't see why Ram isn't an exact 1024 mb. Besides this, does it work?

Also does Vista say it has 3071? or your BIOS?

I'm not that familiar with service packs but I know service packs in XP would try to patch major security holes in XP. Re: Backtrack/Vista problems (Slackware/Linux gurus needed)

Well research is basically saying the same thing every time If the kernel is calling the disk hdX then it is loading ide-disk and obviously CONFIG_IDE is enabled, if it's calling it sdX then it's using the libata PATA driver for it and that's not dependent on CONFIG_IDE. Although there's no config_i...
