Java AbstractTableModel and it's implementation

Postby PhantomReality » Wed Oct 08, 2008 6:47 pm UTC

Before I post my question in detail because it's going to take a long time to write out, are there any Java gurus in here? I'm getting facefragged in my CSC330 class and I need some help desperately. The problems I'm dealing with specifically involve using GridBagLayout for some GUI work and implementing a JTable correctly with an AbstractTableModel class.

Is there anybody out there who understands how these work and might be able to shed some light on my problem if I post my code?

I'm hardly a guru, but I've used both of those classes quite a lot so there's a decent chance I'll be able to help - and if I can't, someone else probably will. Having said that, I'm not sure that anyone fully understands GridBagLayout (heh, headprogrammingczar posted while I was trying to dig that link up).

I actually do understand gridbag layout, but that is because I learned it after learning HTML. Gridbag is some seriously ugly shit unless you document with pictures. I will post a quick guide to GridBag when I don't have to worry about lab, Python practice, learning GNU C, learning LISP, two papers, work, and Supreme Commander. Post your question, and see what others have to say. It might not be a conceptual problem.
