what are the contents of Knuths The Art of Programming

Hey I'm interesting in giving the art of programming series a try, but before I do I'd like to know which topics of computer science they encompass. Do they go into theory of algorithms? data structures? low level programming? There's 4 books and all are 400 pages or more so I'm pretty sure they cover a large variety of material. Can anyone give me a rundown of what these books cover?

That's prefect, thanks. When I googled it for some reason Wikipedia didn't show up, and I didn't think of checking there.
