Whether or not I am a hamster has yet to be determined. You may call me Schrödinger's hamster.

No, Schrödinger's hamster is a hamster which has yet to be determined whether it's alive or not, you'd be more like Schrödinger's werehamster (unless, whether or not you are a werehamster has yet to be determined too, in such case you'd be a Schrödinger's Schrödinger's werehamster ).

If Schrödinger's hamster means a hamster that may or may not be alive, then Schrödinger's werehamster is a werehamster that may or may not be alive. I'm neither of these things.

What I am is a being of unknown species, for which one suggested possibility is "hamster". Currently, we have not ruled out any species. So, I'm just as much a potential hamster as I am a potential human, cat, rhino, or even tree.

By staying on topic, we are taking the meaning away from the original post, while going off topic actually adds meaning to it.

As covered by the "were" before the name.

I guess you're a Schrödinger's werewere.

"Were" actually means "man". It's even more specific than "human". But I like being a "Schrödinger's werewere", so I hope you don't mind being quoted on that.

Well, "man" was originally a gender-neutral word ("were" was the male and "wife" was the female). But I think it's been too long to revert "man". I just prefer to accept that "were" doesn't need to mean what it once did, and is now just a generic modifier for werewolf-like hybrids. After all, if we need a gender-neutral word, "human" and "person" are fine.

Also, this is turning into too serious a discussion, so I'm gonna try turning the discussion around: is it possible that I look like the feet in my avatar? And, if so, does this contradict or support the theory that I am a Schrödinger's werewere?

I disagree with the werething, as, by your definition I'd be a werecat, or a werepeacock, by being a cat peacock hybrid, and I'm obviously a werenothing, so I'd rather change the definition of man.

And, you can't look like the feet in your avatar, because they're two, and you're one, so you could look like either foot, but not like both of them, though your reflection could look like the other one, obviously.

Obviously.

In any case, you can't still be both feet simultaneously, you could make a post with one foot, and another with the other one, or press the keys on your keyboard while making your post interchanging one and the other foot, so your feet write the post together, but at the point you press the key, you can only be one.

So, you can only claim to be your both feet if you type each key of your keyboard with both feet simultaneously, and the onus is on you to show evidence that this is the case, because being one is the default, like being innocent, so you must prove that you're more than one.

You are assuming that an entire body identifies as "flicky1991". Since it's unknown what species I am, it's feasible that this species has two appendages that look like human feet and which share a mind (connected by nerves that run through other parts of the body), and that the rest of the body is controlled by a separate mind, therefore making these two feet the whole of me.

Of course, this is just one possibility. Other possibilities are that I am two separate foot-like beings who share a single forum account (but refer to myself in the singular due to personal preference), or that the entire photo, including the "background", actually depicts me (with the feet being connected to a white and partially brown square).

Of course, my original question here was "is it possible that I look like the feet in my avatar?" There is still the possibility that I look entirely different to the avatar. If you have any ideas for what else I could be, I would be happy to investigate them.

What body? The avatar doesn't show any body, all your arguments are making assumptions that should be cut down via Occam's Razor. I don't see anything you mention in your avatar.

flicky1991 wrote:"is it possible that I look like the feet in my avatar?"

There you have it, if you weren't one you'd have asked:

"is it possible that we look like the feet in our avatar?"

BAM!

I believe I already addressed this:

Pronouns can be what you want them to be.

As for the question of the avatar not showing any body, that's because the body itself would not be part of me. In this scenario, I would be two feet and a concealed system of nerves. The body parts which are concealing the nerves are part of a different being and are therefore not portrayed in the photo.

Well, I guess I'll have to be more direct, then.

Q. is it possible that we look like the feet in our avatar?

A. No.

You got close with the "feet being connected to a white and partially brown square", unfortunately, you didn't include the background in the question.

OK, here's a different scenario for you. Look at this photo:

Image

Would you say that the face in this photo "looks like" Barack Obama? If so, then, considering the entirety of Obama does not appear in the photo, I can have an arbitrary number of extra parts and still "look like" the feet in my avatar.

But that brings us back to the question of what kind of creature I am. If a creature does not have a face, but has two feet-like objects that are the most prominent part of them, then those parts would be the part that you identify with them the most, and therefore the part that you would describe as "looking like" them.

Wait, I said you may not look like the feet in your avatar, but you could look like your avatar alright, as long as that background is part of you, so, if people see that background walking around with those feet (or, hopping around if those feet stay high all the time), they could say "hey! that's flicky1991!"

You could be Schrödinger's werefeet.

It's "Flicky". It's like Yoshi or Toad from the Mario series - there's one specific example who has the same name as the species, but other members of the species can have any name.

Ooh, that explains the 1991 besides your name. That girl is Flicky prime, or just Flicky, while there's a flicky2, and a flicky3... all the way down to flicky1991.

And, probably there's some rogue Flickies, like flicky0, flicky1, flicky01991, flicky-4...

So, my current theory:

You, as a flicky, aren't really able to use the keyboard, or read my messages. So for the purposes of participating here, you enslaved, or otherwise parasited, or mind controlled some human guy, which does your deeds, like all the job of reading the messages out loud and typing what you say.

The feet in your avatar belong to that proxy.
