xkcd on MyMiniCity

Postby TheKhakinator » Fri Feb 15, 2008 7:52 am UTC

MyMiniCity - let's try and get the city "XKCD" to number one!

To improve XKCD, you only have to give the following links to your friends or post them in your blog. Each different click will improve XKCD!
1
Increase population http://xkcd.myminicity.com

So far our population is small so let's get to work clicking that link.

Each person that hits the link, post something else to explain how the city is or what benefit you had. As other options become available, post them as well. Otherwise this is just link spam. So yeah.

I've been clicking bbctol's for the past few days, (Yeah that was me!) but I think that this would be a nice parallel to the xkcd NationStates region
If you click it, they will come. I mean, arrive.

Why don't you update the OP with the different options for improvement? That way we can find them easily.

There we go, my daily clicks done.

As soon as we can we should beef up the security to stave off the impending raptor menace

We have too many open fields around town, but also trees near rural homes. Both not good for raptor defence.
I don't think that everybody in the city can cramp together on the top floor of our only multistory building.
We need machinegun nests.
I don't twist the truth, I just make it complex.

How do we visit rival cities to make use of the "Increase Raptors" option?

We don't have the ability to nuke other cities, only the French version has that.

*hisses at SimsCity-like game* I *despise* Sims.
I was thinking of either meditating or napping, but the way I do it, there's not much difference except in the explanation to the rest of my family.

Unemployment 0%, but transportation 100%. Does that mean traffic jams, or does it mean tha transportation is smooth?
Also, six multistory buildings as of now!
By the way, did we always have a lake north-northeast of the city?

And I would rather parfom a self-appendectomy with papercuts than leave xkcd for 4chan. They have crime, pollution and unemployment.
Also, it seems like they've all crammed together in the middle, with a large amount of skyscrapers in the middle and scarcely populated rural areas.
I don't twist the truth, I just make it complex.

Transportation refers to the transportation network which is fine now. Without roads, all of the buildings get stuck in the middle, and people leave because they can't get to work in the traffic jams.

Maybe 100% transport just means that it is there?
