Ok, timme to answer some of these questions.

Unanswered ‘Next two posters get to ask a question” question
“[242,53] What's the coolest thing that's ever happened to you?”

Well, when I graduated 5th grade, our teacher had us send notes to future versions of ourselves, with the intent of keeping track of where we moved to and such. Anyways, about a week after my highschool graduation, I got a letter in the mail from myself talking about favorite classes and stuff, and oh yeah… 20 bucks. I sent the future version of myself 20 bucks with a note that said “I don’t know where you’re at right now, but I bet that you’d still like a little bit of money to get a new CD or something”

I was a pretty cool little sucker.

“(249,60)
Tell me a funny story. A true funny story.”

Well, not technically a question, but that’s besides the point. Well, earlier this summer I saw what looked like a log in the water at a lake near my house (Minnetonka, a la Minnesota), and upon closer inspection, noticed it was a dead muskie (big type of fish, related to Northern Pike or pickerel to you weirdos). Grabbed it, picked up my fishing rod, and took a picture of me holding it. Measured it, it was 47 inches long (which is HUUUUGE), sent a picture of it into the local sportsman newspaper, and got my picture published. I thought that was kinda amusing.

Woohoo!!!!!!! I'm a winner!!!!

Umm... crap. Question.... Umm... yeah. This isn't as great as it seems.
How much would you charge to sell one of your gonads boys on the black-market? You know, like a kidney, but not. Assume that your minimum price is the most you'll get.

Hmmm… well, I think a few stipulations must be made first. First, I’d have to either have HAD the number of kids I wanted (no more than 2), or had a significant *ahem* donation to a local freezer section made to assure me any future Blubb3r3ng3ls out there can get ahead in life. Also, I’d have to meet the person buying it, ‘cause I don’t wanna be like selling one of the best pieces of me off to some guy who only wants my balls so he can like I dunno, rape somebody and have DNA evidence point to somebody else or something… that’d be messed up. Last, it would have to be my right buddy to go. As I sit and think about it, when I scratch myself, I generally do it with my left hand, and I kinda want a bit of reassurance whenever I reach down that I still have what it takes, you know, subconsciously or whatever.

As for the money, at least 1.5 mil.

Would you rather be brilliant but unknown and forgotten after you die, or mediocre but remembered?

Honestly, I don’t really care much about that. I’m me, that’s goofy enough, I know I’m not mediocre to whoever I get to know, and I don’t plan on holding public enough office or inventing anything else huge enough to warrant being forever popular. I’d rather just, you know, stay me.

But, if I can’t cop out, I’d have to say brilliant and unknown. Fuck the history books, if somebody can recognize my brilliance in time for me to enjoy it, I don’t really care if it’s remembered.

300, 5.
yay! question!
does the integral from one to infinity of sin(x2) exist?

I believe I covered this type of question in the opening post. You will find your answer there.

303,80

Question time.
What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?

Well, nothing particularily horrifying strikes out to me, but I’ve had some horrifying nightmares, the worst of which happened when I was delirious with a fever like a decade ago. I was in a flop sweat, and the wetted sheets I was in had started to get ripples in them ‘cause of my tossing and turning. I dreamt that worms had gone under my skin a la The Mummy. Hmmm, I’ve had some pretty rough panic attacks before, but I can’t really recall anything much worse than nightmares. I’ll try to remember something though.

320,4
What are you afraid of?

I’m afraid of dying alone, I’m afraid of my parents living longer than me, I’m afraid that I won’t finish college due to monetary reasons, I’m afraid I’ll get drafted into the military for the upcoming invasion of Iran (in the future earth where John McCain wins).
I’m afraid that McCain will be elected and have a heart attack, then our country will be run by somebody I firmly feel has less executive experience than my own mother (she is a pretty powerful woman though, so that’s not saying much). I’m afraid that I’ll have crippling anxiety the rest of my life whenever I fail somebody (something I’m trying to work out), I’m afraid I’ll never live to see the MN Twins win the World Series (well, with my own eyes. I was 2 and 4 when they won last). Also, various phobias include drowning, arachnophobia, centipede-aphobia, clowns, and fingernails on chalkboards.

Really though, I’m afraid of that stuff, but *shrug* I don’t think it’s any more or less than your average person

Well, looking at this, and the post counter, I realize we have gotten off track

The correct number of posts SHOULD be 336, starting with this post. Just add one to the number you see from the forum index, as it doesn't count my opening post.

Please read the rules. You can post when it is a multiple of, what, 20 did we decide on? OR when you have made 20 personal posts in this thread. You've either got to time it right, or post enough before I'll answer a question according to the rules.

SO, in the interest in reviving this thread, I'll not respond to your question, 'cause it just doesn't fly with the rules.

*****NEW RULE as of October 5th, 2008*****

Every 50 posts counts as a double question post. So, the next one will come up at 350 posts, or when the post counter outside this thread reads 349. This works with personal posts as well, so those of you who have been playing the game for awhile and are nearing 50 posts or 100 in a couple cases, you get double at 50.

In the interest in reviving the thread, 'cause I kinda like it, next 4 posters get to ask a question... and I *suppose* I could answer the previous one.

My middle school was split into two schools. i went to a public school in my hometown for 2 years, and it was pretty, well, normal. I was in the kinda nerdy group, and started to really fall into my own, but then, my mother got a job as a high-level administrator at a rather prestigious K-12 school in the area. I went there in 7th grade, and well, it kinda sucked. You see, 7th grade was that time that everybody was seperating into the cliques that they'd be part of for the rest of their middle-school and high-school career, and I really didn't fit into the uuuuber rich-kid atmosphere that this place was. So, I went to school and kept in contact with my friends from elementary school and the first two years of middle school more, and as a result, it blew.

I did play football though, and am kind of an athletic guy, so I was never really picked on, but I was never accepted. It's an Episcopal school, religion was a big thing in it, and I was actually kinda guided towards my current apathy towards religion by the Father of the school after some rather lengthy conversations regarding science. In that respect, it was a kinda sweet place, and it educated the hell out of me, but socially, it was a wreck.

Well, it was kinda right before summer break and finals that I stopped lurking around these parts. You see, I had to do a little bit of school work, and this place just took a back burner. I then went to work for the summer at a place called Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji MN where I worked as a French Cook, for the entire summer. Not a lot of internet access besides the once a week checking of my mail, so...

I took about a month long hiatus from this place to get my grounds back at school, then came back.

I joined specifically to post here.

Ah, just as conversation, so I don't have to scroll through lonely posts, which colleges shouldn't I go to? I'm mostly interested in computers, classics, and writing fiction so far.

EDIT: Silly me, I thought that there would actually be another post soon. Damn.
