Not much. On work days most of my exercise is going up and down the stairs to work. On weekends I try to jog in the morning, if I remember and am not too lazy...

You have to do one song for karaoke - what do you pick?

Easy, Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody. I know all the words. Sometimes my wife and I sing the whole thing in the car to our (teenage) daughters. Sometimes they join in, sometimes they groan in embarrassment.

What would be your perfect pet, either real or imagined. For example, much as I love my spaniel, what I wouldn't give for a genetically engineered pygmy elephant, the size of a medium size dog. Imagine it trumpeting excitedly as it runs to the door to greet you, flapping its ears....

12000 °C. I would spend my life constantly boiling water for a turbine, solving humanity's energy crisis once and for all.

As for academic degrees, I already have one in mathamathecs. Couldn't imagine wanting anything else, to be honest. Maybe if I could get paid to keep studying it for the rest of my life. That would be nice.

Do you play any instrument?

If I had an infinite budget, all of life would be a vacation, and the details of how that life would be are too detailed to describe here.

What is the most significant life dream you have ever given up on?

I have several good options, but I'll pick my mentorship during the International Junior Science Olympiad in December. I was taking care of the Georgian team and we got along very well. I also made friends with the other mentors. All the logistic chaos actually made it very stressful, but I hold dear memories.

Have you ever participated in any kind of science olympiad?
