I don't need one, I have the internet.

A published book with contents that cannot be found on the internet?

Completely on my own as I'm waiting for friends to drop the dog back. Have to say he's a bit droopy but he wouldn't have qualified. Although I would definitely qualify several time in the last few months I'm in a pretty good mood today so no.

There are commemorative coins of all sorts in a small chest on my shelf. Did I put all of them in a chest, so that I could indulge the childish fantasy of having a treasure chest like a pirate? Nonsense...

Have a piece of paper on my desk that's supposed to have been turned into a specification, but I just can't get the energy to get it done (things keep getting in the way) .. I wish I could say 'goodbye' to it!

As you've started us off into the realm of metaphysics, I'm going to ask for a brick
"Please only print this post if you really need to"
...hmm....I wonder how much extra energy is required to generate that request...We need a cost/benefit analysis, STAT!

They just cleaned up the construction site outside my window less than a week ago. I could point at some sort of pipe that's still there across the street, though.

somitomi wrote:A reason to put a a big-ass ferrite choke right in the middle of a 5 cm USB lead?
Yes, actually. I had a set of Arduino devices running to a computer located right next to a stack of 3-4 microwaves in a public location, that would randomly stop working around lunchtime. The logs showed the kernel complaining about EMI before killing the USB module, and it would persist until the devices were removed and plugged in again. Bought some ferrite chokes off ebay, stopped the problem entirely. Ferrite cores: You don't think you need them until you do.

Can I get a cable with no chokes, if I promise not to run three microwaves simultaneously next to it?
