I almost got a Matchbox truck in time, but I grabbed the wrong Matchbox-box under my bed first. At least I think this is Japanese:

I recall working out what it said, but I can't remember

Something with Greek text printed on it?

Nope. Maybe if no-one was in the bathroom - I know some products in there have a load of European languages on them.

And that text just says Matchbox. :P

Unfortunately, yes. Someone has hit the wing mirror of the loaner the garage gave me whilst they fix my car and empty my bank account. I'm going to try to glue the cover back on and see if I can get away with it.

Got one in the drawer right behind me. It's stored sans batteries though, and it might take more than fifteen seconds to put the batteries in. But you didn't say a working multimeter.

I can get all the pieces needed to make a priest costume, but I don't have time to fold the piece of paper and stick it in the collar.

Yep. Three, in fact, in my name (2 personal and 1 diplomatic. I need more than 1 personal as the passport with Lebanese stamps doesn't work in Israel, and the Kurdistan stamps are a problem in Turkey). Plus three more for the family.

Look under the bottom. That's where Levolor says Levolor. At least according to the (ancient) ad I remember.

Is it that the passport itself is the wrong kind for {visited country} or that {visited country} rejects people based on where they've already been (based on the (visa?) stamps?

The latter. Getting into some countries is difficult / takes hours / sometimes impossible if your passport indicates you've visited countries with which they have issues. E.g., Kurdish stamps will raise eyebrows in Turkey, Israel and Lebanon do not react well to stamps from each other's countries (to be fair, Israel no longer stamps your passport - it gives you a slip of paper you spend the rest of you stay hoping you've not lost). Even waving a diplomatic passport around doesn't necessarily help. So I have a passport with lot's of stamps and one that's pretty much clean for when I am going somewhere that I think is likely to get a bit sensitive. Plus the Dip passport.

My sister did a lot of art at school, and she still paints for fun sometimes, so there are seven of her paintings around the room I'm in.

Yes, if tea leaves count. No if it has to be ready to drink.

Note: A U-matic cassette is an early videocassette format used professionally. It's 3/4 inch tape, helical scan. Long ago superseded, but still around.

Yes - my wife's pottery kiln graphs. (When we fire the kiln, we graph temp/time by hand on paper to give us a visual indication of the firing rate. There's a stack of them right here... well, right there.... damn blast ch*rp it all she moved them! So, no. I could have but I wasted the first fifteen seconds looking in the wrong place.)
