Not that I'm the best, but if anyone wouldn't mind a round or two, leave a message here.

I'd probably be free to play in October

I'm up for it, if you don't mind doing it one turn at a time...

Ehhh.... I thought no-genius was RIP? (Not that I've ever met you, but saying...)
I don't mind going one turn at a time, but e-mail post or using the servers? I'm using the newest beta build at the time (4?) but if there's any other (strategy) game you'd be interested in leave a message here.

Well, I was trying to set up Alpha Centauri or Moo II with someone on here, but they vanished. I actually haven't played FreeCiv ever, I've played FreeCol. I know all the Civ's inside and out, though!
Also, I'm huge into Stars!

I haven't played Stars! before, but I have a copy of Alpha Centauri floating around. FreeCiv is based off of Civ 1/2, they have the rulesets for those two as well as the "standard" FreeCiv rulesets inside. It has a slightly different taste from regular Civ, especially 4 because it's not based on that, and the usual domination strategy involves slightly different tactics I believe, but it's fun.. when you play with someone else. There are only so many times you can comp stomp a computer.

Same with Alpha Centauri and Stars!... Stars! is no fun unless I'm killing real people
Well, Civ II was my favorite, so FreeCiv might be fun. I'll check into it tonight.
