Note to self: before telling someone I will betray them, betray them. Forgiveness is much easier to get than permission.

Also, don't betray someone that can mess you up this badly.

Now I'm going to try to figure out what happened.

Log Of Events:

Dec 06, 2013 12:45 pm UTC-5: Started looking at board

Dec 06, 2013 12:47 pm UTC-5: Started looking at possible moves

Dec 06, 2013 12:49 pm UTC-5: Found that I could use my Ninja to grab my W so it pushes my 1 so that it attacks Down-Left to kill Elmach's W.

Dec 06, 2013 12:51 pm UTC-5: Decided that since my 3 has been alive thanks to Elmach that hasn't attacked it, and that he was nice enough to tell me that he wasn't going to attack it, that my N-W-1 maneuver would be a bastard move on Elmach.

Dec 06, 2013 12:53 pm UTC-5: Decided to not do that, and instead, move down left, and to inform Elmach about it so that his W doesn't waste time protecting against 1's attack in case he sees it.

Dec 06, 2013 12:55 pm UTC-5: Sent moves and message to Elmach informing him of the situation.

Dec 06, 2013 10:56 pm UTC-5: Received message from Elmach telling me he's going to kill me.

Dec 07, 2013 11:55 am UTC-5: Read the message. Decided that he was the bastard, and that if he was going to attack my 3, and I was going to lose it, I'd rather lose it against dudio than against someone betraying.

Dec 07, 2013 11:57 am UTC-5: Decided that changing my moves to attack his W and updating the board immediately without giving him a chance to react would again, be a bastard move on Elmach.

Dec 07, 2013 11:59 am UTC-5: Sent updated moves, extended deadline to give Elmach time to react without saying anything.

Dec 08, 2013 9:23 pm UTC-5: Saw that Elmach reacts to it without updating moves.

Dec 08, 2013 9:49 pm UTC-5: Updated board. Feels bad for patzer.

Dec 09, 2013 12:15 am UTC-5: Read Elmach's reaction to the board.

Imagine if Vytron's 1 was a Ninja instead! Spawncamping Ninjas are something I hadn't considered, but could be very deadly.

I can't blame you for what you did (which essentially took one point from me and gave it to dudio)
What I don't get it why you had dudio kill your three instead of me, which would keep the status quo and prevent dudio from getting farther ahead.
I have a suggestion: if Turn 40 is a tie, the game keeps going until there is no more tie.

Vytron, you did something weird with your score display; you placed a green +point on a red -point. That looks weird and makes it seem like your score should be -5.

I still have absolutely no idea what I should do. Should you not hear from me in a day, assume I passed out and get a replacement.

Because betrayal is the thing I hate the most in games, that's the reason I stopped playing in Mafia games and the reason I didn't get in Kingdom Control 2.0, some people just value winning over everything else. So, at the point I realized it I just made my goal in the game to stop you from winning. The course of the situation sucks for patzer, though.

At least you told me about it, otherwise I'd probably would have ragequitted myself and the game would have become modless  (though, patzer is ready to take over in that case, I think.)

Elmach wrote:I have a suggestion: if Turn 40 is a tie, the game keeps going until there is no more tie.

Fully agreed, this is getting implemented.

All I did was moving the dots around, but they are correct.

...

Which means I am actually at -5 score! Ha!

Also, if I had remembered to put "for this turn" on that spoiler, I wouldn't have told you about it last turn.

I am actually in a terrible position right now.

Vytron's pieces are the furthest removed from blue's, and also the people he is currently fighting are not next to blue's pieces. If needed, I suggest Vytron submit moves for blue (with a view to maximising blue's score, as impartially as possible). What do people think?

dudio and Elmach are closer to blue, and also have more to be gained by combining their efforts with blue to fight benneh and/or patzer. benneh and patzer are obviously too close for it to be sensible.

I couldn't think for two players, I have it hard as it is to think for myself D: (that's why I tend to be the last one to send moves, updating the board is much easier than thinking the moves.)

If this is to happen I suggest someone else to send moves for blue (maximizing blue's score), probably Elmach or dudio.

If y'all don't mind, I can try to sub some moves for blue until either blue gets back or the game ends. Pretty sure light blue isn't gonna win this one, so really kinda no harm, no foul with me trying. If that's agreeable to all, moves:
Spoiler:
N attack down
W move down-left
1 defend up-left
2 attack up-right
3 attack down-left

Welcome to the game kalira! You're subbing for blue who is subbing for camo!

Sorry for delay.

Nope, at turn 36 dudio killed one of my hexes and I added a red dot, but didn't subtract from my score, so I have 1 less than shown in last pic.

I would REALLY wish this game finished, reminds me of starting new "Where in the world is Vytron" before other ones finishing, and then just ending with 3 "Where in the world is Vytron" games that will never finish.

In a new game we'd need... 5 more players? (would be interested more in modding than playing) But Kalira is still around, perhaps it's easier to get 3 players to replace in (though, that didn't work well for Spy Rumble.)

Other options:

1- We declare this game over and we move on. Pros: We don't run the risk of having two non-finishing HEXATTACKs. Cons: Dudiobugtron is declared winner which is lame as he's not around :P

2- We have 3 available players and 3 replacements spots, we just send the moves for the missing players for the 2 remaining turns, and then we have a winner. Pros: Looks straight-forward and easy enough, we'd have a proper game finish. Cons: But who's going to get the Dudiobugtron role, and why? If whoever gets to replace for Dudiobugtron wins, then, whatever method we decide of substitution is going to decide the game.

3- We decide on a winner from the available players. That is, Elmach, Benneh and Dudio get disqualified for inactivity and patzer is declared the winner because Kalira and me can't ever reach them. I'm sure you'd like this one , I guess I'll be fine with this as long as we get enough players to start a new one.

Disclaimer: Benneh may be available on demand, which would change the replacement spots to 2.

I reckon the reason this game died was because the game at some point became about patzer Vs. Dudio.

Finally, wow, 40 moves, who would have thought that was 2 moves too long?

Oh, just realized there's an emergent option:

Keep this game as is, start a new one. Whoever wins the new one gets to replace Dudio on this one and match against patzer. If patzer wins the new one he's declared winner on both this and the new one.

I'm still here! And I would be happy to start another game. I'm not too concerned about how we conclude the previous game - I think it's fairly clear what the outcome would have been, anyway.

I'm fine with declaring dudiobugtron the winner- I have little hope of winning now with only two moves to go.

And sometime, I will resurrect those Where in the World is Vytron games.

BAM! I'll send Dudio a congratulatory message. Welcome back Benneh!

Now, what next? As I said I'd like to mod the next one, as long as nobody else wants to mod it (badder than I do?). I think about having people suggest a new piece when they sign up, and then, they vote for the piece that they like the most from other players, with the piece with the most votes being introduced to the game. I also think this board worked fine.

If Lawsome is gone, I suggest starting a new thread. That way you can update the thread title to show phases of the game like Lawsome was doing (make the thread title "now accepting signups" or whatever to attract players). But I don't even play this game, it's just an observer's suggestion.

I agree with all of this, except for keeping the same board; I found the little starting areas a bit awkward.
