Not particularly.

There's no quote block, but the first line is a quote from a TV show.

You could guess which TV show I'm talking about.

My eating and sleeping habits are so strange that I honestly cannot give you a simple yes or no confirmation of that.

You, too, are not sober

Nope, I've got two parents, two sibling, and two cats.

You like burritos.

I don't think I've ever tried one, so, I don't know?
As an aside, I just noticed that their name looks like it means "small donkey". Which is odd.

...Actually, I just looked up what a burrito is. Turns out it's a rolled up tortilla with a bean stew inside. In which case, yes, I have had once. Went to a family friend's house for dinner in December 2015, and she'd made all sorts of nice food, much of it Mexican. Including tortillas wrapped up with a bean stew inside. (which it turns out is a burrito!)

So, I guess I do like burritos?

I probably won't have one again in the foreseeable future, though, as she never gave us the recipe. I should really ask for the recipe. It was nice. (I should also ask for the recipe of her guacamole; that was the only time I've eaten guacamole, and it was also very nice)

...

You like guacamole.

Nope. Luckily, that means my burritos are cheaper. :P

patzer wrote:As an aside, I just noticed that their name looks like it means "small donkey". Which is odd.
The word burrito means "little donkey" in Spanish, as a diminutive form of burro, or "donkey". The name burrito as applied to the dish possibly derives from the appearance of bedrolls and packs that donkeys carried.

You knew where the name "burrito" came from before seeing this.

If by "this" you mean the dictionary definition you just posted, then yes. I looked up the burrito wikipedia article after writing that part of my post, to find out exactly what a burrito is, and the article confirmed my suspicions about the word's etymology.

You can name at least four of the thirty-one States of Mexico.

I came up with Baja California Norte, Baja California [Spanish word for South], Yucatan, and Mexico, which is mostly correct. And now that I've looked at the list of Mexican states, I doubt I'll forget Chihuahua and Tabasco in the future.

You already knew that Mexico is the name of a city, a state, and a country.

I just wrote up a long post, accidentally deleted it, so here's a slightly shorter one.

somitomi wrote:Evidently not.

Poprad, Gyor, Sopron, Esztergom, and annoyingly my mind's gone blank. Despite one major city being right on the tip of my tongue. (It has six letters and is on the river Tisza, east bank. I can't think of it.)
Also I'm sure I'm forgetting something important near Lake Balaton.

Also Gyor should have a funny double-acute-accent on it. But I can't find that accent.

I can think of a few more formerly-Hungarian cities: Nagyvárád (Oradea), Ungvar (Uzhhorod), Kassa (Kosice), Pozsony (Bratislava), Fiume (Rijeka), Zágráb (Zagreb), Ujvidek (Novi Sad), Marosvásárhely (Targu Muręs), Koloszvar (Cluj-Napoca), Fehervar (in Romania maybe?) Gyluafehervar (in Romania maybe?)

-----

Edit: Just looked at a map, the city on the Tisza was Szeged and the town on Lake Balaton was Veszprém. I also really should have got Pécs, Szombathely, Miskolc, Debrecen, and Nyíregyháza. As soon as you look at the map you just think "HOW COULD I FORGET THAT ONE?" :|

Also, upon looking at the map, I was very surprised to discover that Poprad is, in fact, in northern Slovakia. I could have sworn it was in central Hungary...
flicky1991 wrote:You can name a district or suburb of London.

Yep. Off the top of my head:

Ealing, Twickenham, Cheam, Sutton, Tower Hamlets, Barking, Dagenham, Rainham, Watford (does that count? I think it's just outside Greater London, despite obviously being a part of the London urban area), Canary Wharf, Westminster, Southwick, Brent, Hounslow, Golders Green, Coulsdon, Paddington, Woolwich, Woking, Richmond-on-Thames, Dartford.

Once again, I have that annyong feeling where I should be able to think of a lot more but I can't.

...

You can name at least three Californian cities.

Poprad is in Slovakia.

Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego. I could list a lot more if I tried.

Yep. Stockholm, Malmö, Kiruna, Gothenburg, Haparanda.

There are a few more I think I know but not sure (Daxby rings a bell– it might be in Gotland?). Also I keep thinking there's a Helsingfors–Helsingør ferry across the Öresund, but Helsingfors is the Swedish name for Helsinki so that can't be right!
