That's... alot of films. If we want to do something this weekend I'm game. Yakk, Yakk, Where art thou Yakk?

Yes. Yes it is.

If this becomes some sort of semi-regular thing, we could even get through a number of them.

Would you be prefering this evening, or some time tomorrow?

Tomorrow would be my preference. I think I'll hit the library tonight, things to be done and all that.

Sunday afternoon -> evening then?

I'm volunteering your place for this meetup, since mine is lacking in much TV, but we could meet somewhere neutral first if you'd rather not invite strange folks off of the webz directly into your home. I just need to know where I'll be navigating to and from.

My place is lacking in any form of public area whatsoever. I have a 4 meter cube in which I reside. Methinks we've hit a snag >.<

I'd advise against planning something like this on quite so short notice.

As an aside, personally I'm going to be out of town next weekend.

So you're telling me to bring a hammer...

Are any theatres open on Sunday?

Mongol might be good
I've also heard good things about Pineapple Express

If we definately want to do something today, I'd go with Mongol. Otherwise, just wait until next fri/sat and so something else.

I'm inclined to go with the later option. Yakk, are you around Friday evening?

Nope, next Friday evening is the next weekend for which I am going to be out of town. :-)

So, Lycur, the Friday fast approaches, shall we set a place and time?

That does seem like a logical step. I've got some errands to run Saturday during the day, but I'm free otherwise over the weekend. You?

Place is the trickier bit. I'm also pretty damn easy going on this one, but also rather uninspired. The Ottawa animation festival is this weekend - any interest?

I'm free through the whole weekend and, and this festival sounds like a fine way to spend it.

There's a showing of 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' tonight at the bytown theatre. Any interest?

Yes, at least one of them. Afterwords, I'm up for aimless wandering and maybe sliding off to some of the other festival events. I'm good for anything until midnight, unless someone with a car is involved. (The appropriate buses don't run that late)

Alrighty, Roger Rabbit it is. Anybody else who wants to show up is more than welcome.

I'll be carrying a black umbrella, regardless of the weather.

Now accepting input on further meetups! Actual residents of Ottawa - or, y'know, people in general - sought!

And I'm bumping this entirely of my own free will, and not at all because Yuri threatened to send a nuclear bomb to the center of the Earth if he had to double post.

How went the black umbrella encounter? Did it successfully repel the rain?

I'm out of town this week, and for some unknown part of this week-end.

We wandered the city aimlessly for a time, I ran into someone at a bus station whom I'd not seen in five years, and much discussion of things occurred.

Yuri believes that double posting will cause him to forfeit his soul. The cult he's in also goes in for human sacrifice. He's offered to host a movie viewing this sunday (date flexible). I'm not nessecarily saying it's a trap, but I've already agreed to go and I'd really rather not die alone. Please join us!

We want you! Yes, you: the person on the other side of the monitor. Come out and see a movie. Succumb to social pressure from your internet peers.

I'm in for this weekend. GF is out of town, and I cannot see how I could possibly end up being so overloaded at work I cannot take an afternoon off.

Saturday or Friday? (So I can use Sunday for emergency procrastination!)

I can't do this weekend; I'm obligated to spend my time with a friend who's coming up to visit.

Fraturday sounds great. Is there a place in your home to partake in filmage? I can bring along all manner of terrors.

I never quite understood how this forum works. I guess if you're interested in meeting people in your region, you search the thread titles and hope something comes up..?

So let's give this a bampf.
