Dude that's crazy that Meaux/Sarah/Noug have a connection to freaking Patrick! ::shakes head back and forth rapidly:: I think this is weirder than Nougat knowing Connor and Julia.

Not only do both Patrick and Meaux/Jay know me, but Patrick's cousins Dan, Tanya, and Erich all visited at some point the summer I was living with them.

I wonder if I know anyone else on this board. The probability of that would be way increased if there were any Northeastern kids or Umass Amherst kids here.

Skippy's an NU grad and I'm moving in with two who read but don't post (CS seniors). So the odds are decent.

Heh, despite being Communications/Art for my year at Northeastern, half of my friends ended up being CS majors. I guess that's what happens when you're a member of an underground anime club.

Yeah, Skippy went to Northeastern, but so did my sister at some point in her un-ending college career. I LIVED in Amherst for five years as a kid...does that count? Almost ruined my life, it did.

Anybody want to see my community theater production of A Christmas Carol 12/14 - 12/16? Tickets are $16 but since I'm the Producer (well honestly the Everything) and it's all the way in Medford, I'll give you a 2 for 1 deal?

Anyone? Bueller?

Clearly, we need to create more fun. And soon.

Would anyone be up for a D&D campaign? I have some ideas that I've been meaning to use. Thing is, I don't think it would be feasible for me to host it. Thoughts anyone?

You should try Paranoia (XP) instead of D&D proper. The rules are looser and the game is actually very good for noobs since it's assumed the characters have a minimum of knowledge, which is good when the players also have a minimum of knowledge.

I'd be interested in a campaign, haven't been in one for a bit, but I do have experience with 3.5. I could offer my space, but I am a bit out of the city (Waltham).

I could host - I'm pretty central to all these here forafolk.

That would of course depend on how many people are playing. My place is great for 6ish people or so?

Alright for all who are interested: PM me with your full, real name and how many tickets you want. They'll be waiting at the will call table in an envelope that specifically states you owe half as much as you should. Act nonchalant.

And I'll leave it to you guys to figure out if you're coming as a horde or whatnot.

Since you're probably driving, there's (free) parking here and here. The theater's address is 30 Forest St, Medford.

I might be willing to participate in a D&D campaign, may also be able to convince the wife to participate, and we may ever be able to host (we're in Arlington), as long as no one asks us to DM. :)

We had a decent game going in Chicago for a while before we moved, but neither of us have any DM experience.

Are there any plans yet for people to get together around Christmastime (December 21st - January 1st? If anyone wants to do anything free, I'd totally be down. Unfortunately, I can't host anything because I'm going to be staying mostly with my boyfriend's family in Brookline or with my parents at their tiny condo in Malden.

Here are some things I would like to do during my 10 days off of work. If any of these things should seem fun to anyone else, we should plan something!

1) See Juno or Sweeney Todd, preferably at the Fenway AMC (I love the Fenway AMC + student discounts if you still have your college ID!)
2) Go ice skating at Frog Pond in the Common.
3) Board Game Nights!
4) Alcohol!
5) My So-Called 90s Night at the Common Ground in Allston
6) Goth clubbing at An Tua Nua near Fenway Park.
7) Stay up all night walking around Boston. May require heavy layers of clothing, a backpack full of snacks, and a thermos full of coffee/hot chocolate/whisky. (May be most conducive to New Year's Eve.)
8) If it snows, build really strange things in the Boston or Cambridge Common or some other park. Also, if we use food coloring, we can paint the snow!

I also figure that one night could also theoretically consist of, say, options 1,2,4,7, and 8. So these options are totally mix-and-match. So far, I only have plans for the night of Dec. 22nd, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Thoughts?

@Kelly: you know how to get in touch with me as well I believe. Odds of me having huge demands being placed on my time are low.

So it looks like there is some interest in D&D, so I'll start working on the campaign. Could people who want to play PM me with availability and what sort of character they'd be likely to roll? Nougat, your input here is especially important of course.
