Was thinking about that. There's a place called Mama's kitchen, which is pretty close to Town Hall. Pasta type stuff (as you might expect) and pretty cheap. Other suggestions would be good too though.

I think I've been to that one. It was delicious.

I hope you realise that I'm gonna miss out on a scripts meeting for revue. You should feel proud of yourselves.

It's not like you even go to that uni any more. Will you be one of the creepy old people that keeps hanging around uni even though they left 5 years ago soon?

Hawkers owes me a cuddle. This pasta place sounds reasonable! I was also going to suggest Chinatown for cheap places to eat, also that way we would get to go on a tram which would be exciting for everyone but Hawk. :P

the light rail is not the cheapest public transport around, and it takes all of about 2 minutes to walk to Chinatown from Central. From Town Hall there is neither.

I should be able to come. Only problem is that I would probably have to crash somewhere in the city for the night.

Ha, believe it or not, Mama's Kitchen was where I had my first internet gathering about six years ago. (Also incidentally the first place I met my wife. Cue aww.) Anyway, being as my presence is rather Heisenbergian at this stage, there's no point me giving much input. I promise I'll pay up on all beer and hugs owing if I do show up, though!

I will not be wearing an xkcd shirt for once, which probably does not help at all.

Tegan, you should go find one of the pics of all of us from some other meetup, to make it easy for those who don't know us.

I'll be coming from work... I do not wear a suit to work.

Maybe I can just bring my Jacket along in my bag, and put it on after work. I guess it will be cool enough in the evening.

I'll be wearing one of the stand back I'm going to try science shirts. However if its cold, I'll probably be wearing a Hybrid theory linkin park hoodie.

Here are some sexy people who might appear at a meetup:

Image

Imagine some of those people and an excited looking blonde lady with a scarf and a coat and a plushie strep throat, waving her hands about or telling off the gentleman second from right for some minor infraction, and you've got us.

The poster I'm holding is that of a stick figure with the text "have you seen this man?" and it has an actual size sticker on it.
It currently resides on my wall.

Also, I have an friend who might be coming. He may or may not post in this thread to confirm this.

Also, this should be a formal attire thing. It'd be awesome, guys.

If it is a formal attire thing I may end up being a little under dressed. Shirt and tie, possibly jacket. That is only because I'll be coming straight from work.

Erasmus is wearing his jacket because I wanted him to. So you don't have to be formally dressed if you don't want to.

I will wear jeans and a shirt of some sort. Possibly my light-up one.

Making a list, we've got

Helios471
Meowgan*
|Erasmus|*
Hermaj*
theduffman (is a no?)
michaelandjimi +1**
mikeyberman
ACU-LP*
Balsamic*
Hawknc (maybe)
jestingrabbit*

Given the largness of that list, I think someone should make a booking tomorrow. It would be good to get confirmations before that happens though.

*= has confirmed.
