She's just scared to get her 6000th post...

But yes, you can edit your own posts whenever, there's no time limit.

Code: Select all

enum ಠ_ಠ {°□°╰=1, °Д°╰, ಠ益ಠ╰};
void ┻━┻︵╰(ಠ_ಠ ⚠) {exit((int)⚠);}

i noticed the post count too. I also only said thread titles, nothing about editing posts. I don't think it stops you here, but i haven't checked.

I am terrified of making my 6000th post but I will swallow my terror (somewhat painful) in order to reassure you all of my continued power and formidableness. Formidability. Formidabiliation. Anyway! As it happens, I am quite sure I can in fact edit the title of this thread being that I am the thread author! Editing the title, I believe, goes hand in hand with editing the post.

Phlip, I am incredibly curious about the contents of that link which you linked there about 6000 posts because I can't see it! My fora viewing permissions are limited (voluntarily, for the record) to here so I can catch up with you guys, and sometimes the mod forum if I feel like I ever need reminding as to why I am now dark blue and lurky like a lurky dark blue shark. I'm assuming that it links to a thread in which you all wait with bated breath for my 6000th post and speculate as to its predictably awesome content. So everyone wins: Cookies! Marmots! A cheeseburger is worth two kisses.

(Also can we please have another meetup soon? Please?)

maybe after my exams is a good time for a meetup. I kinda have quite a few things due before then.

Unfortunately I believe my last one is the 16th (yay, monday!). Maybe the 22nd of June (Sunday) would be a good time to do something during the day for those up the coast and all to catch up again.

Ah, right, that... (actually, I wasn't sure whether you'd told the world yet about your Fora Lite™ access, and didn't really feel the urge to broadcast that for you... I figured that if you wanted to keep that low, but still wanted to find out what it was linking to, you'd PM me or something.)

Anyways, 'twas a post from a while ago (early '08) that stuck in my mind for no good reason... In a thread about lurking, at a time when Belial and ST were the only >6000 postcount users (or Belial was the only one and ST was close, I can't remember exactly):
SecondTalon wrote:I'm just going to say that there are benefits to posting more.

Hidden sections become unlocked, and you get prizes in the mail.

At 500 posts, the "Welcome Aboard" forum becomes visible. At 1000, there's the "Getting to know you via your address" forum and you get signed up for the Jelly of the Month club, for free.. 1500 gets the "Eat more cake, seriously" forum, membership to the Pie of the Week club at 2000 posts, followed by the "How much weight are you gaining?" forum at 2500, then the "Seriously, have another slice of pie" forum at 4000.

Rumor has it, at 6000 posts, Belial personally drives to your house to give you a Surprise! But only if you switch all your round door handles for the bar kind that you can just kinda push down a little and pop the door open.

...

It's odd, though.. after someone gets 6000 posts, you never hear from them again.... hmmm.... Oh, well, since Belial is human, the two couldn't possibly be related.

Oh dear! I think Belial may in fact have been to and even lived in some of the houses of people on that list! This is concerning and I will raptor-proof immediately.

I don't mind people knowing about Fora LiteTM, so that is all okay. I may have even mentioned it already, but if not, it would have become evident at the next meet. But I appreciate the thought. :) (I still hate how that smiley has teeth. Sinister teeth.)

now that i think about it, there are probably a lot of UNSW CSE students (or graduates) on this board.
do/did any of you know Mr. Compton? he's the head of the department (to my knowledge).

I don't think I'm doing anything on the 22nd of June. I might have a meeting for Revue, but that'll start at 5.

He started a pun war. The puns were awful, but so wonderful. All about wine.

I posted after it with" <3 everyone who just posted a pun. Especially Gordon".

either i failed at reading it properly, or my laptops calendar is wrong. I said 22nd and Sunday. I really meant the 21st (although I am probably free on the 22nd anyway...)

Megan: no, it's the wine that gets you everywhere... it's how i got my title, too.

Is it? I never know which days are Mondays. Wine and Gordon are both good ways of getting titles. My title is from Gordon too.

EDIT: Waaaaiiiiitttt. Where's my title? I don't even think I have the appropriate permissions to locate it and put it back.

moderator + wine = title is my current theory.

Next meetup will be interesting as you will not be able to threaten to ban anything that moves, hermaj...

I'm sure she could persuade someone to ban him.

I am still excited about having a title. It's such a novelty.

Usual plan on 20+n (where n <=2 && n >= 0)?

I have no Orgs meeting, so I can hang out until whenever.

I am going to be holidaying in kalkite from the 3rd to the 10th of July. Sunday the 12th would be cool by me, though for more shenanigans, if other people are up for it.

If it's a day thing then the people heading back to the mountains or other places up the coast usually head off around that time anyway. So you won't be missing out on much, I wouldn't think.

I'll be 20 next week! Also, most pubs that have a bistro/restaurant attached will let under 18's in with adult supervision, and they are mostly separate from the main bar.
