An eating competition would be an awesome idea for a meet-up.
I went here last night. I would recommend it.

Only one person in our group finished.

I overheard someone in the cse downstairs place mentioning how they managed to finish a schnitzel after an hour and a bit and didn't even touch the chips.
Now I know why.

That would be Kungl. Don't listen to his bragging, he spent most of the time complaining about he never wanted to eat schnitzel or chips again.

Laser tag? Eating competition? Are you people deliberately setting up stuff that I like doing, just to spite me for not being able to make it?? You're makin' me sad...

Laser tag: Yeah, Zone 3 is the one, but I think there's a better competitor now. Of course, eating pizza and running around in a laser tag maze makes for interesting times but hey, w/e.

As for that schnitzel eating thing, 55 dollars a head is fairly pricey. I'd prefer to have a nice meal rather then an eating competition. Eating competitions should be hard stuff, like dry weetbix, no water/milk allowed.

But yeah, someone else name a date and time, and I'll see what I can do. Weekends are definitely preferable, mondays a possibility, all other days really not.

20 mins to get to the station, 1hr40 to get to redfern, 20 mins to find my way to usyd. :(. And it's only about half an hour shorter max if I drive, possibly even longer because of rush hour.

Well, I think if we were to do laser tag we should do it on a weekend - the weekend in the middle of Mojo Gojoe's trip gives us Friday the 25th or Saturday the 26th of September. How do those sound? Also I totally just mistyped "house" instead of sound. What the hell.

I believe I will be free, and if we organise something early like this, I will make sure that I am. Also, if we are still talking about the laser tag in rosehill/parramatta that means I can probably give a few people a lift from parramatta station to the place, and also back afterwards.

25th/26th I'm free so far, though it's the start of uni break so hijinks down here may be planned. Only other problem is that I can't really stay that late because travelling on the south coast line after about 9pm is asking to be mugged.

Christopher Hitchens is doing a talk at the Opera house next weekend. It's 65 dollars a ticket, I'm thinking of going myself. Is anyone else keen?

It's for the festival of dangerous ideas, and his talk is 'how religion poisons everything'. Might not be everyone's cup of tea.

*edit* so I suck at dates. It's the 3rd of october (fortnight from now), and it's at 8pm. Here's the link.

Megan, alas I cannot do Friday as work are screwing me around with my roster, and its looking like I'm working on Friday. Which is annoying because they took that shift from me before, I thanked them and then they gave it right back.
