Why does every thread I post in fall way down within a day or so? I think I must have some kind of Internet touch of death. Anyway yeah, might as well start evacuating this one.

OK, so you all probably know this already, but this is written in very small text right under the "warning" on the main XKCD page:

We did not invent the algorithm. The algorithm consistently finds Jesus. The algorithm killed Jeeves.
The algorithm is banned in China. The algorithm is from Jersey. The algorithm constantly finds Jesus.
This is not the algorithm. This is close.

Yeah, it's from some viral advertising for a search engine (maybe Ask.com). It's old news. I think Randall was trying to googlebomb it or something.

Also, Colorado is way east of where I thought it was. I forgot how much smaller the U.S. is than Canada.

I just searched the webs and it has something to do with Ask and a campaign they are doing with billboard advertisements.

EDIT: Alpha beat me to it while I was searching around. Also, don't worry about it Chuff until you hit 104, and just keep drinking fluids (mostly water). At 104, go to the Emergency Room 'cause summin bad's done happened.

EDIT 2: It could be another way to get people to come to the site. They search about the viral-ness of the ad campaign, BAM, redirected to xkcd.

Sometimes I wonder if what we, as humans, experience is an illusion. That all we touch and see is merely a symbol of something greater in a universe woven in with ours.

A shadow is a two-dimensional representation of a three dimensional object created by a figure of unimaginable power. It represents something much more intercate and beautiful than itself. Can what we view and feel as objects in our sensory field be mere representations of something greater than what we experience? Can our percieved universe be a mere shadow of some fantastic other world?

What figure illuminates this other world, casting the shadow we see as ours?

I have now started to read "The Princess Bride" as I didn't know where the library kept the movies, and I didn't particularly feel like digging through them anyway. The Novel shall have to suffice.

An empiricist wouldn't consider these questions as being meaningful, since there's no possible observation that could shed any light on them.

You can't imagine lamps and suns and things? They can be a little tricky to be sure but I think I would work on that. Imagining is pretty important. I can imagine way more powerful things, like level twenty wizards! Having high points in imagination is essential.

One of the abilities you get with alcohol tolerance is increased temporary hit points. That combined with the hard boiled trait, and I'm sure you'd be fine.

And then drunken barbecue fun afterwards. Hoorahs! Fire and booze, what could possibly go wrong?

I should probably also add that I am endlessly amused by the word 'moist'.

Oh me yarm do I have energy today. Like, lots of it. And a desire to be super productive. And ADD. So high energy + motivation + ADD = 4 projects at the SAME TIME!!! More projects than you schedule has room for!
AND I am super happy. The Buildings & Grounds guys commented on how bouncy I was today.

Unfortunately, eating lunch has increased the internal energy levels making any sort of focusing that does not include running around difficult. Maybe I should have a smoke. Or caffeine to counter act my ADHD like brains.

Another downside to that would be freezing cold in the winter? (Depending how far you are from equator, that is).
