Funny, Cytoplasm's Rabbit avatar looks like a furry gray Yoda, all he/she needs is a toothpick staff.

And force powers.

And a very tiny green laser pointer.

Help! My mouse is broken. It won't scroll. Please xkcd save me!
Things I've tried:
    updating drivers
    Jiggling the cord
    scrolling more
Thing is, middle click works, to open new tabs and bring up the scrolling thing, but not to actually scroll, which is unhelpful. Please save me!

That happened to one of my previous mice after about 2 years of perpetual scrolling. I think it was just wear and tear that somehow disconnects an internal gear registering rotation, but the wheel is still in line for the touchpad. If you think it's worth the risk/if it's an expensive one, try opening 'er up with a screwdriver and see what's what.

I don't think I can open it up, it's a logitech optical thing, and has no screws to speak of. I reckon opening = destroying in this instance. I'll see if I can find a suitable replacement, and THEN maybe open it up. Possibly with a hatchet... heh heh heh

Edit: I changed the port it was in, and it's fixed. I think it was just that port, so it's lucky my mouse is USB.

Moo, I also vote aliens. I have nothing against you and no specific desire for you to have the John Hurt put on you, but oh will it not be so worth it if you go to someones birthday party, and have aliens burst out of you and start singing 'happy birthday'? I'm sure there's easily 50 geek-points there for the taking.
