Last year of college, I imbibed so much that I woke up the next day, drunk. I went to class, drunk. I wrote a test, drunk. I ACED the test, drunk. I moved up into "hangover" on the bus-ride home.

Good times.

You almost sound like my dad back when he was younger...probably that age. He's old now and thinks alcohol tastes icky. Quite a change.

Things that are not fun to do while still drunk but slowly sobering up the morning after a night out: go to work at a chippy. (But by the time I got to lunch, it was great, because it was DELICIOUS.)

To be fair, that was the only time that YEAR I'd gotten drunk.

It wasn't a matter of morality. I had a newborn and no money. That one night was some friends getting together to get me drunk (it was officially called "Get Topper Drunk Night").

I wonder if my dad could have been like the people who started "Get Topper Drunk Night".. I have no idea.
He just lived it up I guess. And stole things from the Navy when he was in the Navy.

Old news, I know, but when I was 18 I could drink my body weight in alcohol (yes, exaggeration) and not get a hangover, these days I only need to drink 4-5 pints and I feel terrible in the morning.

I just took my dog outside and while walking down the sidewalk I saw the "Stop Ahead" sign and had a very, terrible and random idea. As in terrible, someone could get hurt, rather humorous but at the same time not that original.
I thought of putting up paper over "Stop" and putting "Raptors". This could be easily traced back to me since my parents know I'm a wackjob.

I thinkI can finally wash the dishes and sleep soon.

I used to think I was a picky eater, as my mom and brother would tell me such things. Later in high school, the friends I were running with were.. well, way pickier than I.

My wife is also far more select about what she eats.

My mom and brother still consider me a picky eater.

Much like growing up with Great Danes has warped my sense of what most people think a big dog is, I also have a warped sense of what a picky eater is. As in - I don't like mushrooms nor olives. I am a picky eater.

While I simply detest olives, my relationship with mushrooms is.. more problematic. More or less, if I don't realize I'm eating them, I'm cool with them. If they're chopped up finely enough, I'm down. Cream of mushroom soup? No problem there, other than it being a "Cream of" thing that should always be used as an ingredient of something else, not a meal in and of itself.

But just a big ol' hunk of random mushroom thing? Can't say I'm a fan. Also, I'm married, so that just one of the things that rules out Meaux.

Not only did I just found the mug that's close to my ideal mug (It's 500ml, i.e. Big), it was also cheap (Considering P&P), and very well packaged. Further more, it was delivered in record fast time. Under 8hrs from clicking buy online to arriving at my door. That's ludicrously fast.

I wish the media would stop talking about twitter. I mean, seriously... we know already :x . It barely comprises of much at all, yet it gets mentioned daily everywhere.

How the hell am I going to read Wuthering Heights and All the Pretty Horses and have completed the summer reading reports for both of them by August 3rd?

I really need to stop procrastinating. It has really almost endangered my GPA and rank for the past two years now.

If it's any consolation, you're not alone. I still have to read most of Paradise Lost plus a whole slew of poems and short stories, then write an essay and a bunch of smaller writing assignments. Then I also have to read at least 50 more manuscripts and make comments on each, then write an essay on my experience interning at a literary magazine. Coincidentally, my deadline is also August 3.

...and now I'm depressed.

I hope you are kidding. You have it much, much worse than I do. I can't remember if I have to do any essays, but the work I have doesn't compare to your load. I'm kind of happy my school sucks a lot and hardly requires much of us. It really hurts me in the end though. (I'm may be the STAR student with only a 1950 on my SAT. That is a great definition of sad.)

Good luck getting all of your work finished on time. You need it more than I do.

We're all real, in an interwobby kind of way. Cake is real, unless it's a lie. Kittys are real, as are raptors, but don't worry about them, they're actually quite friendly once you get past their gruff demeanour. You're real, and so are the clouds.
