Why are there no female Gorons? Do they asexually reproduce? Or are they all both sexes? What would Goron sex be like exactly?

A very selective use of the foe feature has made the fora significantly better, IMHO.

What kind of witch craft has Microsoft incorporated into their build 7100 of windows 7 Ultimate that won't let you upgrade to another version other than Ultimate.

Build 7100 is the RC which is being shut down. It now stops working every two hours. You need a retail version to stop this happening.

But the RC is the Ultimate version, and most people will have bought Home Premium or something as their retail copy.

You can't upgrade from the RC to the full version, no matter what edition of the full version you've bought... you have to do a from-scratch reinstall. (Not quite a reformat/reinstall, as all your files are still there, but the previous Windows install is sequestered into a C:\Windows.old folder, so you still have to reinstall programs and reconfigure stuff, and anything else stored in the registry or similar places.)

Ok, so I'm just going to use this as a halfway point between the rant and happy threads right now.

Basically, I am really stupid. In the space of an hour or so, I was impatient, impulsive, and careless, and thank God (no offenses intended) that I didn't mess up my computer as badly as I thought I did. The whole incident is spoilered because it is too long and uninteresting and useless to most people with more sense than I have.
Spoiler:
So I was browsing the Internet, as usual, and noticed that the taskbar was acting up ("Windows Explorer is not responding") as it sometimes did. This was really annoying me, especially because I couldn't control the volume and the clock didn't update until I told it to by clicking "Check for a solution and restart WE" or something. Out of curiosity, I got the Not Responding message to pop up (by trying to access the taskbar) and checked out the "Details". Apparently the problem had something to do with "explorer.exe".

I didn't know anything about that and was too dumb and lazy to Google it, so I ignored it. Later, as I eventually got fed up with the taskbar not working, I opened the Task Manager as a drastic measure and from messing around, lo and behold, I found that there was a Processes tab that included the process called explorer.exe. Awesome. So what did I do? I right-clicked it and selected End Process. Um...not so awesome.

My taskbar and desktop were gone. I was sort of freaking out. I deserved this for being so careless. I could still operate the computer using the Task Manager, thankfully, but I thought I was in really bad shape. I started Googling for more information on how to recover the explorer.exe process, and actually made some downloads, one of which told me my computer had serious problems (no kidding, I was thinking) and none of which helped me. Finally I found a site where people could comment on the process and saw that many others had had the problem as I had, and a few provided the solution:

Tell the Task Manager manually to run "explorer".

What.

*facepalm*

I. Am. Stupid. I had actually thought I had deleted the explorer.exe, when it was there the whole time, waiting for me to run it.

Also: I have a habit of writing "okay" rather than "ok" that I developed years before my English teacher this year told us we should be using "OK". What is the correct form of the word?

Yay, Moo.

Penny-pinching bastards. My vaporizer broke months ago. The corrosion and deposits collecting on the apparently unplated connector and screw broke the screw off at the head (construction: 120VAC->crimp connector, with a screw going through the connector into the electrode). That, or the plating was insanely low quality, as all it took was Deoxit and an old sock to scrub it down to bare metal (well, not to remove all of it, but there was no obvious nickel or gold plating around). These things are obviously designed to fail, and be replaced. Well, Vicks, I beat you. It took several tries, much filing, some Deoxit, then even more filing, fidng a screw that would hold, rather than just scrape the hole out to a wider diameter, then a good cleaning after the deposits started steaming out, having loosened as it sat dry, but did I go buy another one? No, I repaired it. Take that, giant megacorp.
DSenette: (...) on the whole, even a trained killer cow is kind of stupid.

The more-accepted etymology is that it was originally an acronym, which would make "OK" the original form... but "okay" is perfectly common enough to be acceptable (the dictionaries I checked had it listed as an accepted variant).

They're all correct. Wikipedia says that you should consult your guide/manual/whatever, which in this case would probably be your teacher, because there's no consensus.
