The closest I've come to death was almost smashing my face/head into a tree while sledding (I would guess I was going 20-25 mph, fast enough that it would doubtlessly have been fatal), and managing at the last second to flip/twist backward and hit it with my thigh.

Now that you mention it... no, it's not really funny when I think about it.

My question was somewhat in jest. I'm not likely to make any controversial jokes just yet or in the near future. If I do, it's probably due to a bout of sleep deprivation. heh. 8)

Though, this stand is somewhat odd, considering how popular minority jokes are when they're made by minority comedians. The Nerf Herder joke on Family Guy was funny. (Worst example ever!)

It's less funny still if you ever read Ethan Frome.

I remember Ethan Frome from high school. Ethan was unhappily married, and rightfully so since his wife was a nag and hypochondriac. He met some other gal that he had the hots for, and she liked him too. But they couldn't be happy together because Ethan was already married. So they tried to kill themselves together by sledding down a steep hill and slamming into a tree. But Ethan was just partially paralyzed by the event, so he had to live the remainder of his life crippled and married to some nag and his swell gal died. So while discussing this in class, I told the class that Ethan and his gal should have just murdered Mrs. Frome and told everyone in the village that she died from her illness that she told everyone she had. Then they could live together happily. My instructor told me that I didn't present a good enough argument, and when I asked her why it wasn't better than suicide she said because murder is illegal and immoral. But I wasn't satisfied because suicide is illegal and immoral. And that's a fleeting thought.

I never put links in my signature anywhere anyway. People use them for shameless self-promotion, and I don't have anything to promote (I also have no shame so that aspect wouldn't bother me--but, tangential).

YES.

During the car accident, I was discussing how I liked the duo of cedric bixler-zalava and omar lopez-rodriguez best during the last At The Drive-In album and the first Mars Volta album.
As we hydroplaned, I thought "Holy shit. Everyone always said that we talk about music too much. That's how I'm gonna die."
I told the rest of the car that afterwords and we were laughing too hard to talk to the cops, at first.
Nobody was seriously injured, by the way.

Spam or not, they have no brakes

So you know how myths are always being spread about correlations between the length of one body part and the length of man's junk? Bigger the foot bigger the junk? Well we all know those are untrue, but what about breasts? Are there any legitimate correlations?

I think I read somewhere that the bigger your breast is, the bigger your other breast is. It's not a perfect correlation, but it's pretty strong.

Wouldn't that create a feedback loop of ever expanding breasts?

As a matter of fact, I was in the hospital for foot surgery and went into anaphylaxis on the operating table - allergy to the anesthetic.

I suspect that the main reason that I can look back on it and laugh is that I was unconscious for the dramatic parts.

Well, it's not a causal relationship, at least as far as modern breastology is aware. Just a correlation. If it was causal, then feedback would certainly be a concern. Or at least a thing that might happen, whether or not it's concerning is a question for the person in ownership of the breasts in question.

Subway restaurants have a cunning tactic to avoid paying copyright royalties for the music they play. They simply play stuff that doesn't surpass the threshold of originality so the music can't be subject to copyright.

I got an email from Blizzard Games saying that someone had tried to associate my WoW account with another e-mail address. If this was incorrect, I should click their link, log in to my account and cancel the transfer.

I was greatly puzzled because I don't actually have a WoW account, and the site they linked to was not associated with Blizzard. Interesting. What was even more interesting was when I logged in using profanities and insults as my username and password, it told me my details were correct. Imagine that.

Yes, you read right. We will ritualistically sacrifice all the pets you reared yourself. We may even skewer their head on a spike at the entrance of Neopia as a warning to all deviants who feel that they don't need to look after their pets any more. We will take audio recordings of their helpless squeakings, right up until the point where the sound is heartlessly and mercilessly cut off by the sound of thrashing metal.

Do you want this to happen to kacheek and the doe-eyed Kiko and Jubjub? Do you?

If you'd like your account to be deleted (boo!), you don't need to do anything more. It will be deleted and we'll miss you dearly!

We hope to see you in Neopia soon!

you have been warned.

The Neopets Team

Wow. They really tug at the right heartstring.
Away, you scullion! you rampallion! You fustilarian! I'll tickle your catastrophe.

I tried to follow a link on here to cracked.com at work yesterday, and found out that the filter here actually has an entire category titled "Tasteless".
