No no no, I was saying that I'm twelve, because I read "a fantastic view of Uranus tonight" and immediately jumped to the non-standard pronunciation of Uranus.

Whoa, yeah! Kickstart my heart, give it a start.

I have never done drugs.

I have been given pure adrenaline in order to keep me alive, and I know that I was attempting to get back into the fight even though I needed to not be doing that at that particular moment in time. When I get an adrenaline surge, I tend to get things done regardless of the personal physical consequences.

This morning I was doing my morning run. I was moving along the forest path, and noticed that it was starting to rain. I kicked up my speed and moved on. As I was running, I noticed something ahead of me that looked like it was moving. The closer I got, the more it looked like someone crawling on all fours. Now, this forest trail that I run on is not something that people just wander about on, so I figured someone was in trouble. I put myself into full-on-sprint mode because I was worried that they were really hurt. Adrenaline overriding most of my personal safeties that keep me from doing something like re-injuring any number of wounds I sustained in the military.

Turns out that it was actually a coat moving on a branch that was blowing in the wind.

I tore up my knee because the little spike of adrenaline allowed me to completely ignore my pain. Give me adrenaline in pill form, and I would likely become Shiva, Destroyer of Squirrels.

Last night my friends and I were discussing Missouri's Testicle Festival (devoted to the Rocky Mountain prairie oyster). I uttered the phrase "I'd never put those nuts in my mouth--"

My friend held up a finger accusingly.

"Fine, let me amend that: I'd never chew on those nuts in my mouth."

When my girlfriend made me a tiny carving of an elephant, made from a single piece of Indian shale, using only a small chisel and sandpaper, which took her over one-hundred hours to fashion, and then paint the tiny, precise features, there was only one thing on my mind.

Why didn't the bitch get me Liar Liar on DVD like I asked?

The two are not necessarily exclusive. The UK and Sweden for example are constitutional monarchies and a parliamentary democracies.

They seem to be coping okay. I think when the role of the monarch is diminished enough, they don't really rate "mockery of democracy" status.

The Queen has as much power as the Vice President does to impact much of anything. Diplomatically, it is best not to counter Her spoken wishes, but honestly, maintaining a monarchy has allowed Japan and England some status that they would not otherwise have.

I'm proposing a new voting system. There are three elections held in the year. The first election is early in the year, probably february. In this election, the top four candidates move on to the next election. So let's say Beelzebub, Cthulu, Medusa, and Grendel are the four candidates in the lead for the presidency. A middle election will happen and, much like a step ladder system, the candidate with the most votes (in this case, Cthulu) goes up against the candidate with the second most (Medusa), and the number three candidate (Beelzebub) goes up against number four (Grendel). This election happens in the middle of July. The final election in november, the winners of the last round go head to head, in this case Cthulu and Beelzebub, with the winner taking the seat. This way, you don't throw your vote away when voting for a third party.

Well, it doesn't matter what order you run them in, the results are still the same as you are casting your vote for which of the two you would rather have. If Medusa doesn't beat Cthulu in the middle election, Medusa doesn't beat Cthulu in the final election. The point is that the people who voted for BOB and Sauron in the first election don't lose their votes, they get to pick whether they would rather have Beezlebub or Grendel, and they get to vote if they would rather have Medusa or Cthulu. Then they get to vote again and decide whether they would rather have Beezlebub or Cthulu.

Or you could just get everyone to sort the candidates in order of preference, allocate all the votes according to their first preference, then take all the votes for the candidate who got the least votes and reallocate them to their second preferences and so on until there are only two candidates remaining and declare whoever has the most votes to be the winner... That way you only have to have one election (and thus only one election campaign).

Your voting system looks similar to a tournament like those on merchandise animes such as Yu-gi-oh. They're quite problematic though, since Beezlbub and Grendel are incompetent but they have a larger probability to win than Medusa, who is fighting against a solid candidate.
