I must demand that pineapple be granted at the very least special dispensation to appear on 'Hawaiian' style pizzas.

Pineapples' reputation can be tanked with the a spin campaign. Was Hitler's favorite pizza one with pineapples on top of it? I don't know, but the question is certainly interesting. Did this preference lead to his distasteful opinions? I'm just asking questions...

My constituents happen to rely on large pineapple processing facilities for the livelihoods of their families and towns. I demand that pineapple be included in the final legislation - if not, we can work it into another amendment. I am amenable to, erm, compromises.

I think we can nicely smear the pineapple with associations with Castro, Venezuela &c. And the workers in the pineapple factories aren't really our demographic. Hot-beds of... socialism.

Considering the esteem with which the members from Oregon hold certain people from the state of Hawai'i, I believe that we too can be convinced to at least include the Ham and Pineapple option, as long as we limit it to no more than 8.4% of total Brooklyn style, and no more than 9.5% of Chicago style.

I would prefer that we maintain our current pledge of avoiding negative campaigning, and instead focus our efforts on reaching tri-partisan consensus on all issues.

Pizza is already unreasonably unhealthy most of the time. Do we really need to fry it?

Repeat same argument for twinkies, candy bars, mac and cheese, etc etc.

I know it's supposed to be tasty, but honestly it just strikes me as unreasonable.

I would like to pose the notion that if you are in need of frying your pizza (or your mac and cheese, or your assorted candies and desserts), perhaps your pizza (etc etc) was pretty crap in the first place.

Also, cost must be considered here - a deep fried steak pie accompanied with chips is £3.40. A half pizza which has been deep fried, which is also accompanied with chips is only £2.25.

<ridiculous>
Papa John's is a scourge in vague pizza-esque form.

Look, I have no problem with folks continuing to sell various terrible things masquerading as pizza. I do, however, think that it's just silly to label them as real pizza. I'm fine with going a whole champagne type route, if we can uphold standards that way. But please - frozen pizza box nightmares, chain pizza atrocities and campus center-type "what, it's got bread with cheese on it, it qualifies" sorts of immature and pathetic attempts at cookery should not be encouraged in their pretensions!
</ridiculous>
...I admit - I am totally irrational when it comes to this topic, but I was born in NY and I have since experienced SO MUCH BAD PIZZA. It's a goddamned tragedy.

Out of the three major ones (Papa John's, Pizza Hut, and Dominos), I prefer their pizza, but I don't really like their sides.

Also, Moose's Tooth in Anchorage is AWESOME. Great Pizza + Alcohol = WIN.
