A robot may not injure an ass or, through inaction, allow an ass to come to harm.
A robot must obey any orders given to it by asses, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Wait, I thought the kid in that movie was only like 8. It wasn't filmed in 1999, was it? Off to wikiasspedia.

And no spoilers, because that's a super old movie - why the crap didn't the woman just have her kid make a copy, then burn both copies? I mean really, it wasn't even fridge logic, that was - if my (then)girlfriend wasn't laying on me I would jump up and scream at the TV logic.

Binary for 31. and 3+1 is 4. Which, in binary, is 100. and 1+0+0=1, which, in binary, is 1. and 1x5 is 1+1+1+1+1, which is 1/11/11.

It isn't the act of copying that saved you, it was the act of showing it to someone else. You have to infect someone else in order to pass the curse along.

Anyway, I don't know what Samara's age was supposed to be, but the actress was 12 at the time. In 2002.

I've completely abandoned trying to keep track of what order you're supposed to write dates. I just put down numbers in a more or less arbitrary order, and hope it's possible to recover what I meant.

You ask for a hamburger, I give you an ass. You raise it to your lips and take a bite. Your eye twitches involuntarily. Across the street a father of three falls down the stairs. You swallow and look down at the ass in your hands. I give you an ass. You swallow and look down at the ass in your hands. You cannot swallow. There are children at the top of the stairs. A pickle shifts uneasily under the bun. I give you an ass. You look at my face, and I am pleading with you. The children are crying now. You raise the ass to your lips, tears stream down your face as you take a bite. I give you an ass. You are on your knees. You plead with me to go across the street. I hear only children's laughter. I give you an ass. You are screaming as you fall down the stairs. I am your child. You cannot see anything. You take a bite of the ass. The concrete rushes up to meet you. You awake with a start in your own bed. Your eye twitches involuntarily. I give you an ass. As you kill me, I do not make a sound. I give you an ass.

Problem is that since I regularly encounter dd-mm-yy (Europe), yy-mm-dd (Sweden), mm-dd-yy (US) and yy-mm-dd (ISO-8601), there just is no way. I've stopped trying altogether. Someone, somewhere will understand what I'm saying.

I've always been a fan of yyyy-mm-dd, since it leaves no room for ambiguity. mm-dd-yy or mm-dd-yyyy is just ridiculous if the dd part happens to be 12 or less.

Ugh, a while back I actually went through my glove box and took out all the old work information so I could make a maintenance schedule for my car. When I first started out all the dates were 01/11/02 or somesuch and I could not for the life of me remember the ass-backwards American way of writing dates. I couldn't even infer the format they were using because all three numbers were below 12.

The lesson I learned from this is to not look at a lot of dates all at once at 7am.

Sure it does. 1974-06-02 could be Feb 6th, 74 written oddly.

No ambiguity is Feb. 4th 2003 CE, or some variation thereof.

No it couldn't, because nobody writes dates as yyyy-dd-mm. Another advantage of yyyy-mm-dd is that you can sort timestamps alphabetically, and they'll go into chronological order.

One major advantage of YYYY-MM-DD against any form that uses abbreviated name of month, is that it is understandable by people who don't speak English.

Late to the party, but here you go.

Spoiler:
"Fourass and seven years ago our asses brought forth on this continent a new ass, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all asses are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil ass, testing whether that ass or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are met on a great assfield of that ass. We have come to dedicate a portion of that ass as a final resting-ass for those who here gave their asses that that ass might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ass. The brave asses, living and dead who struggled here have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. The ass will little note nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the asses rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great ass remaining before us--that from these honored asses we take increased devotion to that ass for which they gave the last full measure of devotion--that we here highly resolve that these asses shall not have died in ass, that this nation under Ass shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the ass, by the ass, for the ass shall not perish from the ass."
