Does everything revert back after mod madness? So our word filtered posts such as wow will just become plain old w-o-w again? Or do already written posts stay as they are with random word filtered words in them?

Yes. So if you try and work around the filters you're just going to end up looking ridiculous in a week's time.

Anything quoted will remain. So while anything filtered in your original post will revert to normal, anything in my quote of your post will remain a snapshot of when I quoted it, even if subsequent filters apply to it.

That make any sense?

Either that or you just look like you've got enough time on your hands that you're willing to intricately edit quoted posts so that people look like idiots.

Well, I was trying to avoid strange word filters. No way it could come out sounding natural.

Like's say you have w[s]ord fil[s]ters.

Only, y'know, properly closed S tags.

So we filter ord to izzard, and fil to Mons

You now have wizard monsters FOR NO RASIN in the middle of your post.

If you filtered "s" to, say, "q", would that break the [s] tags? (I know it's a ridiculously excessive filtering, but I'm curious)

Because that was merely a test?

Also, I'm not quite sure how comfortable I am with shattering tags like that. I am not prepared for unforeseen consequences, only full life consequences. And those aren't the same thing at all.

Long story short: Don't bother dodging the filters. You've got about a 70%* chance of having a word in your post having been filtered and quoted by the end of the week anyway.
