No, there's just that much of it. You surf on a jet that's surfing on a jet while playing a game about surfing on jets and Xzibit's head explodes.

On my way from work I saw two girls on the sidewalk, standing face-to-face fairly close to each other. I think they were having a moment.

On a completely different note, there's a "Ke$ha" concert on TV. Wow. This is not humanity's finest hour.

Furthermore, it's Friday night.

Is it me noticing it just now, or is most of contemporary pop music really made as clubbing / dance music?

Club/Dance hall influenced. The stuff they're playing in Clubs and Dance Halls now is not contemporary Pop. Contemporary pop will be using that as an influence in about a decade or two.

Not a joke, but funny story. Studying for finals, so I'm really pressed for time, but I haven't had a hair cut in a few months. I tried stopping by my regular barber, but they're closed on Sat and Sun. What barber shop closes on Sat. and Sun? That place has gotta be a front for something, I digress... Anyway on my way home from the library I found a place that was open. At first I almost didn't stay because the place was packed, but as it turned out, everyone was waiting for one of the two barbers. They shouted at the old man sleeping in a chair. At first the screaming startled me, but then I noticed the giant hearing aids in the gentleman's ears. He stood up, smiled, and motioned me to sit down. He said " I haven't cut your hair type in oh probably 20 years, but I still remember how to do it. At this point all eyes were staring at me like a circus attraction. Kids were laughing, whole darn place started laughing. Needless to say, I was a little worried about the hair cut.....Sorry, I don't have time to tell this story. The hair cut took an hour and as Mr. Walker puts it "a good hair cut takes time". A little short, but not all bad.

Does anybody know what the deal is with those sellers who sell books for 0.01£ on Amazon? It's not a scam, I've bought multiple and they all arrived, and in more than decent condition. But where is their profit margin? Do they have some special deal with the postal services so they can send for less money than standard rate, and so some of the advertised delivery costs are actually part of the price of the book?

Edit:

I should've googled before posting. Oh well, for those who also want to know:

So Amazon makes money, the seller makes money, the customer gets a cheap book, and the postal service get screwed?

Well, my plan to destroy the bacteria infecting my throat by consuming an appropriate amount of whiskey and bitters failed miserably. Guess I'll have to wait then.

That's your problem right there : more whiskey, less bitters. In fact, try taking out the bitters and replacing it with whiskey as a mixers, then try again.

Technically, if someone gets screwed there, it is the customer who pays more for shipping than shipping actually costs.

Angostura bitters is 44.7% - so counts under the lower end of whiskey from what I can find. You're not diluting it that much :P

Point well made, but doesn't whiskey have particular antiseptic qualities, above and beyond its alcohol content (particularly if you go for Laphroig, which is almost indistinguishable from TCP)?

Bulk rate, 44 cent stamp cost 2 cents in bulk rate...the reason the infomercials up sell the extra junk free, + additional shipping, is because the plastic bobble is worth considerably less than the $12.95 you're paying in shipping. Whiskey is often higher proof... So maybe that's why? I doubt it has antiseptic qualities outside the alcohol content.

Wasn't mixing them though. Just drinking a shot of whisky, followed by a shot of bitter. Rinse and repeat.

I often get mouth ulcers and I've found that whiskey often helps with them, both in terms of pain and duration.

How else does one drink them? Although I usually combine such a shot with a bock beer. Not mixing them together, but just drinking them in concordance. Careful with that stuff though, it can hit you like a mule, even when you know what you're doing :P
