This might be something worth investigating. But I wouldn't doubt that remote access stuff is blocked too.

I don't guarantee the image works. I can't actually see imgur from my desktop at work, only on my phone, and it wasn't letting me attach.

EDIT: Well, I appear to have failed posting that. In addition I managed to crash my phone while trying to fix it. Thanks, Android.

If you want to make them twitch, take up nalbinding. Its viking knitting with a single needle (and obviously way better than either knitting or crocheting).

Nalbinding is really cool, but the fabric isn't as useful for the things I want to make. Also, crochet is faster, but some say it uses more yarn for the same gauge.

I don't love nalbinding anymore, but I thought it was neat that it exists at all. I do prefer knitting (and it's probably the most popular of the fiber arts right now) to crochet to nalbinding.

For some people it's a war, but many people I know either do both (like I do) or just have a preference for one or the other and don't care either way. Knitting for me is a bit more difficult and, as addams said, takes a bit more concentration, so it ends up being slower for me. But once you pick it up, it becomes just as fast because of muscle memory, and there also seems to be a lot more patterns available for knitters than crocheters.

It's great having an American housemate, who also appreciates such things as pumpkin pie and s'mores. Tescos just started an American food section, which had graham crackers and hershey bars so we introduced the idea to our British housemate who loved them.

I mean, it's good introducing people to new foods as well, but there's something about someone else who also has nostalgia to go with the food.

What could it be?

So many possibilities. It has quickened back up again for me. You?

It is nice to know it was not just me.

oh. Do you have a U-Tube link of that song from Nightmare Before Christmas?

I had a random thought.
Are internet forums inside the US being quietly shut down?

It could happen.
It might be the Peacnik, Commie, Pop Culture Forums.
It might be the Political Half Beat Forums.
I think of xkcd as Political Half Beat.

We tend to be more interested in the name of the infective agent than the government agent that transmitted the infective agent.

I noticed that other Forums are gone, gone, gone.
The Daily Show decided to cut back on its Forum after the DC Rally in favor of Sanity and/or Fear.

The Forum may have played a part in the Rally's success.
Maybe. Maybe, not.

I have no way of knowing.
I do know the Cobert Report and Daily Show no longer have Forums
I, also, know I have enjoyed xkcd.

I learned a lot here.
The voices, in the written word, on this forum have been almost like real people to me.
I would miss the Forum.

What? Did I come to the party late, again?
ech. Another attack of NSA Paranoia?

NSA Paranoia must be as common as the common cold.
I expect my case of NSA Paranoia to be as disabling as a common cold.

probably in the form of cease and desist letters, court cases, etc.

or they can just have their new, fancy, shiny, utah facility brute force the site, and destroy all records on the server host.
