I love purple hair, even though the process is annoyingly messy, cumbersome and makes everything (EVERYTHING) pink. But, yay, cool hair.

I'll haste to wed a sailor and send him off to sea
For a life of independence is the pleasant life for me
But every now and then I would like to see his face
For it always seems to me to beam with a manly grace
With his brow so nobly open and his dark and kindly eye
Oh my heart beats fondly towards him whenever he is nigh
But when he says goodbye me love I'm off across the sea
First I cry for his departure then I laugh because I'm free

Thankyou. Funnily, I was looking at the tilde and wondering if that could be it, and it didn't cross my mind that the 'okina' was right there.

*facepalm*

Bloody americans.

A cookie is a type of biscuit. A bread roll is distinct from a biscuit. What you refer to as a biscuit is what I refer to as a scone, I believe.

Be more Australian or English.

I meant your cookie.

:( Sorry. It was exasperation at the entirety of America at adopting their own crazy backward language instead of everyone else's.

Football != Soccer
Biscuit != Scone

And imperial is just crazy.

Don't sweat it, suffer-cait; the language barrier between the English speaking countries is often a source of frustration, surprisingly often regarding food. We non-USAians like to think our way is "right" because we used words for things first, so we can go on about it a bit, but you have nothing to apologise for :)

Biscuits (en-GB) are nice, but man did I love biscuits (en-US) and gravy when I visited my bro in law in California! I need to find somewhere that serves that here.

Meh, preview-ninja'd by the bears, but posting anyway. I am fixated on biscuits and gravy now. This yoghurt I'm eating does not quite compare.

and atleast your name for football/soccer makes sence
american footballs somewhat rarely come in contact with feet

and i have never been a fan of USA biscuts, though anything is good with gravy.

vague discription. cupcakes, that come in containers of 9 or 12 and are mass produced, not just the ones grocery stores make, the frosting is kind of hard and they taste better than normal cup cakes. does anyone have any idea what i'm talking about? i've only ever had them in ireland, and that was like 6 years ago

Unhelpfully, the only thing that sounds like is cupcakes with the kind of frosting that goes hard when it dries (fondant frosting? as opposed to butter frosting - I think). Sorry  :)

Tescos is a huge UK supermarket chain with an Irish division. Cheap food and own-brand is order of the day. Students survive solely because of Tescos.

My turn to be "american", I think it may be like Walmart...?

EDIT: 6 years ago in Ireland, it may have been called "Quinnsworth"..

when did the title become fluting instead of fleeting?
edit: i hunted it down, it was between, 10:27 and 10:44 am yesterday
and i agree Profiteroles are yummy
and that does sound like walmart, except ours doesn't have an irish division =]
and i am going to go look up Quinnsworth now
wait is Quinnsworth the cupcakes or the irish version of tesco?
edit2: i see that it is the store, iono where they came from, my mom bought them for my birthday

yay no sleep! man I have got to start actually sleeping at night, as it is, I usually end staying up until around 3:00 a.m. and then simply collapsing in bed, usually unintentionally.

and yay halloween! and possible band parties! and why have I not eaten breakfast in over a year? hmmm . . . might have something to do with laziness. I'm hungry and have no food, this must be remedied. At least I have water.

I loved when they tried to go upmarket by changing their name and releasing those unintentionally hilarious adverts.

The best one was when the voice over said something like 'This is not just Chocolate Gateau'. Then someone cut into this normal looking cake and it sort of deflated and loads of unpleasent goo started leaking out of it. 'This is M&S Belgian Chocolate Gateau, stuffed with strawberry filling'.

Tesco's in Americor is "Fresh 'n' Easy". There's only a few outlets dotted around, and the venture ultimately failed. (Former Tesco's employee; they've tried several times to branch internationally, and whilst not failed per se, they... yeah, they failed. Especially in France.)

One third of all money handed over by Britons is spent in Tesco's. The stores are shaped like the Monolith in 2001.
