Well, it would, but we're all going to die in 2012, so it's kind of irrelevent.

It's my birthday in a few weeks. I actually had to subtract this year from my birth year to work out what age I'll be turning. That's right, I can no longer automatically remember how old I am.

Edit: rather than fix my error, I'll just say that I actually age backwards in time.

Got linked to Down - Jay Sean ft Lil' Wayne, muted it. Continued watching the video whilst listening to my current song, Mein Name - Nachtmahr. Giggled like a child. It was the little boyband-esque dance to what roughly translates as "nothing and no one can wash my soul clean" that got me.

The bookstores around here usually sell Burt's Bees. I went to the bookstore to pick some up. Naturally, I came back with a bunch of books and no chapstick.

Edit: yeah, I took public transportation all the way across the city to take the GRE about this time last year two years ago. I forgot what year it was.

Apparently, it seems as if I have a mild version of the flu. I have to go move rather large pieces of wood and set for the play in an hour. Meh.

I'm trying to rest as much as I can before I have to report for duty. It's easier than I thought to type with my yes closed...

Besides booze, no good comes out of fermentation.

If someone offers you fermented something that is supposedly a local delicacy, say no.

I had to do that for a dare once. The neighborhood cat still can't hear the word lactose without freaking out.

Also, the play KICKED ASS!

We cut down transitions from 20 minutes at the beginning of the week to 3 minutes for today's performance. Everyone thought that it was hilarious and the actors did great. The only bad thing was that not many people showed up, partly because of the football game that was going on at the same time as the show.

Still, I'm pumped up right now. It was awesome.

So, a boy I grew up with is being sent to Iraq, and several others are slated to be there soon. I was never close to any of these kids, but I have known them since we were all 3 together and drooling on the same toys. I still feel so young! They still seem so young. It seems wrong to send these boys to war. :/

The poetry readings we've been having have sucked lately. Every one I've gone to has been a mumble fall asleep fest. The poetry is lyrically brilliant, and reading it on paper is thought provoking. But hearing a soft spoken man mumbling things in a dark room after a long day is a recipe for sleepy time.

The first episode précis for both Firefly and Outlaw Star:

Spoiler:
Outlaw Star : Gene and Jim are hired by a woman named Rachel to protect and escort her as she services farm equipment. When they are attacked by Guild pirates, they learn Rachel is really Hilda, an outlaw in search of treasure. After the pursuing pirates are defeated, Hilda shoots Gene and forces Jim to fetch a large container. The container is opened, revealing a naked girl inside.

Mal and crew are hired by several passengers to take them off-world. When they are found by the Feds, they find out Simon is really an outlaw on the run from the feds. Mal opens a large container. The container is opened, revealing a naked girl inside.
