The place I bought my 500GB hard drive from less than 2 years ago now sells a 1.5TB drive for around the same price. Woo Kryder's Law!

(Not that I need a new hard disk - 820GB is enough for now.)

Very good! See? Those webcomic artists only understand when you complain about them on forums they never ever go to! Only GWS left.

Also, I think today's Gunnerkrigg will look very very strange to someone just starting to read the comics.

The problem with GC, is that I can go 2-3 weeks without reading it, and still catch up in about 30 seconds.

Thanks for pointing out that GC had updated. I went earlier but it hadn't updated yet. I also read all three of those comics.

There's a "Dildo Island" in Canada. The mental imagery is... overpowering.

Also, GWS updated a while ago. ;)

GC updates at around 8 am GMT, if that helps anyone. It's been going up a few minutes earlier recently, but normally it's 8.

But I'm in Israel! That's 2.5 hours after I'm already at the office!

Anyway, yeah, GC is usually fine, is QC and GWS that are misbehaving all the time. :)

I wonder when the second GC book will come out.

The first book publication was a catastrophe, consisting mostly of nobody, including Tom, knowing when it'd come out, and Amazon randomly guessing at release dates. This went on for several months. I'm hoping this one'll go better.

Well, we could always try telling him "This Statement Is False", and see if he starts flailing his arms, screaming "DOES NOT COMPUTE! DOES NOT COMPUTE!", as his head spins and gives off sparks.

Please. A computer this advanced will require several song-and-dance routines before it can finally succumb to such irrationality.

I really want to order the updated version of my Chemistry textbook and read it through, cover to cover. I'm just afraid that I'm not getting a good textbook. There are so many that it's almost impossible to figure this kind of thing out and all of the reviews say different things...

And chemistry textbook? Do you want a biochem book too? I have two. I don't need both. And I hate my molecular cell bio book, I could get rid of that. Hmm...they are still the current text used for incoming grad students. Maybe I should try to sell them next year...

Could you see if a library near you has it, or a book shop so you can flick through it before you buy, maybe?

I want more textbooks, but I can't afford them, so I shall have to make do with monopolizing the uni library's copies :P
