And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping
The moon tells me a secret - my confidant
As full and bright as I am
This light is not my own and
A million light reflections pass over me

Its source is bright and endless
She resuscitates the hopeless
Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting

And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt
Don't wanna be down here feeding my narcissism.
I must crucify the ego before it's far too late
I pray the light lifts me out
Before I pine away.

So crucify the ego, before it's far too late
To leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical,
And you will come to find that we are all one mind
Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable.
Just let the light touch you
And let the words spill through
And let them pass right through
Bringing out our hope and reason ...
before we pine away.

An unwise appetite for junk food has granted me something resembling a beer gut at age 19.

It's gotten better as I have started swimming again, but still...
I really should be working right now, but somehow I don't have the energy.

I can blame parkour, coaching gymnastics, and skiing for my lack of a beer gut. I'm not sure how long that will stave off the gut with my poor eating habits. By what I eat, I'll be dead by 30.

On a related note: should I go get some beyond mind-shatteringly delicious ice cream from the 24/7 grocery store, or wait my hunger out until I fall asleep, dissatisfied with myself? If I go to the store, though, I won't fall asleep until ~6:00am, and be dissatisfied as I wake up late in the afternoon (yay not working on Thursday's). DECIDE FOR ME.

The best kind of ice cream. Well, maybe I'm overstating it, because there is a Coldstone near where I work and damn do they make fine ice cream, but... it's deliciousness cannot be ignored at this late, and weak, hour.

Yet at the same time it's kind of mind blowing. Like, people look to the supernatural for mind blowing things and ignore the all natural mind blowing things.

Maybe cause they are kind of scary and not everyone can handle that.

Then again, one of our elected goals as a species seems to be finding out how stuff works, then deciding we don't like it and either going into denial or trying to break the system as much as possible with variable results. Maybe we can become more than we are now?

Wait a minute I'm a wanna be creative writer why am I not using that as a part of...something...

I took that approach, but it didn't sit right with me. I assumed that there was a grand design(purpose/meaning) to the universe, but I couldn't find it. I could only find meaning from within (bwahahahahaha that sounds hilarious). So, still assuming that there was a grand design to the universe, and the only design I could find was my own, I substituted my design for the universe's. ????. Profit.

Anywho, ice cream was a success. I bought two pints, because they were on sale. I fear I may eat both of them. In other news, I counted 22 deer actually in the middle of the road, and a presumptively larger amount on the sides of the road. There were also two stray cats.

One doe thought it'd be funny to run with my car in the opposite lane (two lane road). I didn't, those little shits can dent, scratch, and take out a window - at that point I was going about 15mph, so I swerved a little and honked my horn and it flipped out. It's more amusing when you do that with the roads covered in ice.

Mayhap 12 minutes one way, 15 minutes the other? It would be 12 minutes both ways, but the 12 minute drive is boring and the 15 minute road is fuuuuuuuuuuuun except oh yeah all the deer.

Edit for more driving fun: I went the boring way to the store, and as I was nearing the one major intersection on the drive, a cop drove past me and promptly pulled a uwey (u-turn). I was in the left hand turning lane, waiting for the light to turn green, the cop was sitting pretty much right on my bumper. I was convinced that, as the light changed, he'd turn on his bwoop-bwoop lights and pull me over. The only thing I could think that'd be the problem is my driver's side headlight housing was hanging out of its... hole in the front of the car where it goes... which it does, sometimes, as the plastic holding the screws that hold it there snapped a while back. But the lights, brights, and turn signal all still worked.

When the light turned green, I made my left turn and the cop made an awkward right turn out of the left-turn lane and went the other way. I was confused.

My mother is religious (little jesus statuette, prays a lot) and my father atheist.
They taught me and my sister about various major religions, pointed us to the Bible/Koran/Tipitaka so that we could choose. We educated ourselves a bit and realized it was all hogwash.

So there was a blurb on NPR this morning about yesterday being Oprah's last show. They mentioned that the people at Opera(the browser) sometimes get emails meant for Oprah - and they try and personally answer every one. One little girl wrote in asking for Hannah Montana tickets. They didn't send tickets, but did recommend another band:
