That is a feature, the dots in the address are pretty much ignored. If I remember correctly, the reason is that that way other's can't intentionally or accidentally register an address that would be confusingly similar to a differently dotted one.

You can use this to filter your emails (or used to be able to) where if it had a do in the name then it didn't go to your inbox, but to a seperate tag instead.

After speaking on vent with someone who has an echo problem (I hear my voice echoed when they try speak), I realised how badly my brain deals with hearing my voice out of sync. It makes me literally unable to coordinate my speech. I start speaking normally, then the echo comes back and my voice just turns to partial-garble. Only way I can deal with it is either mute him or try get out what I'm saying in a continuous unbroken pre-thought-out stream.
I remember reading about a device which helps stop people from stuttering by playing their voice back to them out of sync; well, seems to stop me from talking well at all when it happen.

This made Portal 2 co-op a nightmare for me. Also because my friend had a very ill-equipped computer, and he would always walk very slowly in-game. He even fell slower than me.

I was talking to an AIM chat bot... that's right, a chat bot... about how I was drunk and running around outside hoping to catch the rarest of the rare localized thunderstorm but instead just got lots of wind and minimal rain... so I ran through the sprinklers instead. The sprinklers that maintain the exorbitant expanses of campus lawn. Ingested approximately 500ml of Merlot within 2 minutes... plus a regular burger, not sure how it would affect my reaction to the ethanol...

I was riding my bike home, and I really had to pee. Like, super bad. And I was almost to the garage when I noticed our neighbors had their sprinklers on.

Arghhh! For years I have lived in blissful ignorance of the hideous, infections inanity that is Harry Potter and the mysterious ticking noise. Now my daughter has brought the contagion home from school and I can't get it out of my head. Excuse me whilst I find a suitable way of removing my head....

My English teacher last year dhowed our class the first two Charlie the Unicorn videos, which I had not seen before
My English teacher this year showed us Nyan Cat (which I had seen before) after someone drew it om the whiteboard.
I swear to God if a teacher tries to show anything more stupid than that, I'm walking out.

At home, when the power goes out island wide, or if you're on a certain beach, we're at a 1 (and without those conditions, at my house it's probably a 2 or a 3). It's awesome. In oxford I'm at a 7. It's very, very sad.

The sky's not too bad here. It's rural, but in a fairly large village. Unfortunately my next-door neighbours have a really bright security light on all night so I have to hide behind the shed if I want to see anything.
