I have a timepiece I keep in my pocket. In times of need, I can also use it to make phone calls or take blurry photos.

In the warmer seasons I usually just wear a pair of gym shorts. However, in the style of the current late fall/winter season, I usually just wear the clothes that I wore during the day as my "pajamas." It's warmer... and more comfy.

I prefer to sleep in the nude, but I can't really do it that much now considering the whole "college roommate" thing.

it depends on where i'm sleeping.
late night and i crash on a couch somewhere, clothed but no shoes and usually no socks. I also have to take my belt off and everything out of my pockets. (the no shoes rule stems from the fact that people tend to mess with you if you sleep with them on....a strange rule that evolved out of the whole "if they're asleep with shoes on, they didn't mean to go to sleep. they passed out therefore they it's open season to mess with them." don't ask)

at my place, just the boxers.
at the folks place when home for the holidays, boxers and a shirt. this is because the folks don't like to be reminded that I have tattoos. When I first wake up, i'm usually to incoherent to realize that i'm walking around shirtless, so, I have to fall asleep with the shirt on to avoid this.

So. You guys got me thinking. Why DO I wear a bra to bed? So I though, "Okay, tonight I'll try without."

It's cold as hell without my bra O_o;;;

Just boxers, usually. If I'm sleeping somewhere more public I'll usually wear pants. If I'm sleeping somewhere really, really public a shirt, too.

Nothing. The only exception is if I'm in someone else's bed in their own home. Hotel beds? Naked. Hotel bed with someone else in the same room that doesn't have any business seeing me in the nude? Naked (though I get *IN* bed with underwear on and remove them deftly) Sleeping in someone's guest bed, or on a fold-out couch or something? Boxers. The only other exception if if I'm sharing a bed with someone who isn't comfortable with that sort of thing, and then I'll put on whatever they want.

There's also an exception to the exceptions. If I'm sleeping over at my best friend (a girl)'s house, we'll sleep naked together. 'cuz that's the way we both prefer it. There are some latent romantic feelings going on there, and a vaguely sexual past, but these days we keep it under control. Especially when she's not single. But that still doesn't stop us from sleeping naked together lofl

Usually I wear a t-shirt and sweatpants. Sometimes I don't wear underwear, though. I just wear the sweatpants without underwear. Which is odd, I suppose, but whatev, I'm only sleeping in it. Occasionally I sleep just in underwear, or completely naked. I don't do that much anymore though, because my new room is unheated and it gets cold at night.

Underwear but no bra + t-shirt.
If I sleep with a bra on I get red raw marks on my shoulders, under my boobs, and under my armpits. Bras are so uncomfortable. Seriously. Although I understand how some people need to sleep in them.

Hmm, it totally depends, including nada, panties, panties and vest, nightie. I can't abide by wearing too much in bed though, even if it's freezing, I prefer to get my warmth from the bedclothes, or when it's available, bodyheat, hmm.

Anyone else call a robe a "dressing gown"? I've grown up knowing it as that.

Edit: I sleep in boxers and a shirt, if I was wearing a t-shirt that day.

I either have to be in boxers and nothing else, or fully clothed (including shoes) wearing a flannel shirt over a t-shirt.

I have no in-betweens. Go figure.

Usually what ever I'm wearing because I'm much too lazy to change, but recently I've been trying nothing and it seems to be much more comfortable then usual.

Generally I'll wear pajamas with no bra, unless I'm sleeping over at someone's house. Bras are in order then, and it doesn't impede on my sleep too terribly.

For whatever reason, I have an irrational fear of embarrassment by "headlights" if caught in a chilly room. Especially if the person's family is home.

Boxers and a specific shirt I always wear to bed, no matter the temperature. If it gets too cold I'll just whip out my electric blanket.

I simply cannot sleep without a shirt. I'm so used to the bunchyness it feels comfortable.

Usually, a sleep shirt, which is like a long, oversized t-shirt with a pocket near the hips and doesn't really fit any of the categories. It's not really pyjamas but thank you to the folks who spelled it with a "y". The pocket has been a necessity since I married, as it holds my earplugs.

Sometimes, whatever I'm wearing when I collapse, which can indeed include shoes, but I don't wear shoes that often so usually not.

When I can, I cover up with my dog. But he is reluctant to be used so callously, and aside from that feels he has a god-given right to 75% of the bed real-estate. He is, after all, The Dog.

pj shorts and tshirts in summer and trackys and jumpers in winter. Id rather be wearing warm clothes AND have lots of warm blankets than just one or the other. I feel so awkward sleeping naked. I just cant do it. Probably from the shared bedrooms growing up. Also its cold.

Bras arent for bed time.. well maybe, but not underwire or padded bras.. maybe those softcup things that people with hardly any boobs can wear during the day.

*edit* seriously though, all my bras has underwires and i dont like wearing them during the DAY so there is NO WAY i can sleep in them, unless its one of those "pass out" occasions. i'll try a sports bra sometime. i'm sure the elasticity of my skin will thank me for it later?

Really, a "seamless" type sport bra - maybe a size larger than usual - is great for sleep (when needed). I say "a size larger" because if it is owned solely for the purpose of sleep, it does not have to fit as snugly, say, as for jogging  ...We women of size know the economy/convenience/modesty of the sport bra during the day... comfort at night.

But what do I know, I'm an old fart.

Heating is expensive here in Maine because it gets quite cold ... in the winter I bundle up under 4 thick blankets and then wear multi layers of clothing under all that. And in the summer ... well, I'd love to say I sleep nude and with no blankets, but I just can't ... I have to have some clothes on and a blanket over me or I can't sleep. If it's too hot, I turn on the AC.

I just take off my shirt, shoes, and socks and sleep in my jeans or shorts depending on the season. Sometimes if I take a shower at night, I'll wear PJs. My roommate commented last night that it's weird that I sleep in blue jeans and that I sleep with a bra on.

Hmm. I just had the thought occur to me: Ladies who sleep nude, what do you do during Shark Week? I couldn't fathom wearing a tampon to bed; TSS risks have been drilled into my head to the point of paranoia. Do you just wear panties for the week?

A lot of women do sleep with tampons (ugh!!) whether they wear panties or not (scary thought). I suppose a lot of them don't know/don't care about TSS ("what's TSS?"). I don't have to worry about all that any more... I had my 'problem' removed. What a relief!

At the risk of making this into a girly thread, there's no more risk involved in wearing a tampon at night time than there is at day time as long as you don't exceed eight hours.

Well, obviously. It's just that I tend to spend an hour in bed before and an hour in bed after roughly 8 hours of sleep. It's be rather inconvenient.

Usually pyjamas of a sort, sometimes nude if I'm too tired to change and the chances of someone coming in to wake me up in the morning are low. My parents really don't get the whole "weekends != early rising" thing... although that's irrelevant because I rarely sleep past 9am on saturdays and 10am on sundays, which is really annnoying when I'm trying to catch up on sleep.

Ok, fair enough. I don't tend to sleep much that time of the month anyway, and get up every few hours to change. I can't abide by wearing pads, they just seem unclean.

To be mildly on topic, I love sleeping in fresh sheets.

Right now, scrubs. At home it's pretty random. I don't so much plan to go to sleep, as pass out while reading a book or finally step away from the computer, so I'll be wearing whatever I was wearing at the time ranging from nude to boxers to flannel to jeans. socks or no socks, but i feel silly if i wake up and find i still have my shoes on - rare. have to have something over me while i sleep no matter how hot, either a sheet or blanket. always have teddy bears in the bed - they pretty much live there, heck i pretty much live there except the chair and computer are a few feet away.

I sleep naked. I love PJ's, and I own a lot of them. But I never wear them to bed; just around the house.

Honestly, though, if it's not mandatory for me to get dressed, I won't do it. If I have a day off and no one to bother me and nowhere to go, I'll stay naked all day. It's glorious.

Re: What do you wear when you sleep?

I am a pj's girl. Sleeping naked in my house is a no-no unless I know that no one is going to come in and wake me up. I have probably slept naked in my own bed once, and that was when I had the boy here. In winter I will sleep in warm pj's or trackie pants and a singlet with a jumper over the top, usually the jumper will be the boyfriend's jumper. In summer, I sleep in the smallest set of pj's I can find. Never naked. There is too high of a risk for siblings to come and wake me up and steal my blankets or something.

Oh, and I keep all my jewelry on. None of it gets taken off unless my bracelet comes undone in my sleep.
