My IRL signature used to be ABrenecki in cursive, but now looks like AB<squiggle>ee<squiggle>i .

My forum signature is also blatant advertising for the only PHP app I ever wrote to reach something resembling production use, and my last.fm charts, abbreviated to 3 items (2 on the last one) to keep things short.

Is it acceptable to use the same quote as your sig that someone elses uses for their sig?

ex. User Kaiyas uses this as part of his siganture

clintonius wrote:This place is like mental masturbation

i found this quite clever, but, in the favor of originality, i was questioning the morality of using this as well, since he used it first

anyway, if anyone can inform me of the procedure regarding this situation, it would be appreciated

It's not against any rules, but it's probably considered impolite to do that, especially if the other person's sig still contains that particular quote.
Don't worry about grabbing sig quotes too quickly; there's bound to be something else you find particularly amusing posted within a few days anyway. If all else fails, you can wait for someone to mention Narsil and penis in the same sentence, or get one of those meta-sigs that involves people talking about sigs.

Well, lately she gets confused when we get drive-thru, because she thinks ANY place that sells food sells ALL food. We went through Tim Hortons to get bagels for the kids, and she demanded a cookie. We said, no cookies, it's almost dinner. You can have a bagel with cream cheese...

Her: Bagel?
Us: It's like a cookie, with a hole in it.
Her: Tim Ho-tons! Donut!
Us: No donuts, too much sugar. You can have a bagel.
Her: Want burger!
Us: They don't have burgers here.
Her: That burger!
Us: (looking at picture) That's a breakfast bagel.
Her: Want bagel! And cookie!
Us: No cookies. Do you want a bagel with cream cheese?
Her: YES!!!!!!
*we get drive through, and pay*
Her: Where's my donut bagel cookie burger?
Son: She got a donut?
Us: No, she didn't.
Her: I got a donut!
Son: SHE GOT A DONUT! I WANT A DONUT!
Us: NO-ONE HAS A DONUT!

EDIT: Also, no-one on here had anything to say about my son's quote? :)

Mine used to be a Daria quote, with a line of lyrics from Howie Day.

Now it's three lines of dialogue from Buffy.

Riley: "We'd better make a fort."

WATCH OUT.

Also, did you know pumpkins were a squash. Also a fruit for that matter.

Mine is a verse from one of the most achingly beautiful songs I know, and a brief explanation of my background and geographical situation put there in the vain hope that people in the ban thread would stop banning me for being confusing.

The song is "Je t'aimais, je t'aime et je taimerais" by Francis Cabrel. The translation of my sig is something like:

The world has so many regrets
So many promised things
One alone for whom I was made
I loved you, I love you, and I will love you.
