I just saw Margaret Cho last night at the Hawaii Theatre, and I was afraid I that even though I love her stuff on T.V., she would disappoint me live ... she totally didn't. I'm moving her up the ranks from my 3rd favorite comic, to a tie for first.

Demetri Martin is so good for one-liners.

Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran (Black Books was indeed heaven) are fantastic.
Ed Byrne is my favourite.
Jimmy Carr is cocksure, but hilarious to listen to.

I wonder if anyone has anyone heard of 'Flight of Conchords', a New Zealand folk/parody band?

Then kick me once again, and say we'll never part.

You mean New Zealand's fourth most popular folk parody duo?

Yes. Superb.

Jeff Dunham is absolutely hilarious. I'm surprised no one has mentioned him yet (either that, or I just missed it).

It turns out that sometimes wanting something actually does make it happen!

Bill Bailey's stand up is beyond amazing.

Possibly my favourite moment of his is Medieval Porn Music.

And, of course, his Cockney Classical.

Favourite Bill Bailey moment would be 'Insect Nation', or that surrealist ramble pub joke.

Now how about that Lewis Black guy eh?

Pablo Francisco and Jim Gaffigan, so far.

Doug Stanhope (especially the Deadbeat Hero cd/dvd) and the aforementioned Hicks, Carlin, Hedberg, Lewis Black, and Sarah Silverman.

:( My ex called me a few days ago told me Eddy Izzard is going to St. Louis and he's going to see him. He's not coming to Las Vegas... it breaks my heart.

I've saw Bill Bailey live a few times now and once he had me laughing so hard and frequent I thought I was going to pass out through lack of being able to breathe. And his Classical Cockney routine is just sheer genius.

I see Andrew Maxwell has been given a mention too, I saw him last year at the Edinburgh Festival and thought he was great.

Also honourable mentions to Al Murray, Dylan Moran, and of course, Bill Hicks.

Carlos Mencia (His standups are funny about, twice. Then it's just the same thing). Lewis Black, Jeff Dunham, George Carlin.

Kinda mainstream, but damnit they're funny.

I *heart* Ross Noble more than life itself. Apart from that, I have a bit of a soft spot for Tim Minchin. Russell Howard is rather fab too. I could mention Bill Bailey... but everyone does, so I won't.

He'd be so much better if he linked his jokes.
I laughed at most of his stuff but I get bored a lot.
