Huh, whaddaya know. Turns out the house chianti didn't tickle my fancy. I theorize it was the fact that I alternated sips of amber bock with sips of chianti, with lots of delicious pasta thrown in for good measure... I think my tongue couldn't keep up with what it was supposed to be tasting.

I'm on my way there. I've decided that tonight was the night for my annual tradition of drinking Boulevard Nutcracker Ale while playing Vigilante 8 with no sound but to the music of Big System Morsels. After Vigilante 8 and BSM, I will probably move on to Perfect Dark and then Super Smash Bros. Word.

Not sure if I'm drunk or just tipsy, because I've not been drunk before. Safe to say my fine motor control is well gone and my brain is about half a second behind the rest of me. This makes walking in a straight line a precarious experience.

Something like 8 shots of vodka? I'm a lightweight, apparently, because everyone else seems to be fine. We've been playing beer pong, except with vodka and jelly babies.

Woah... this is weird.

8 shots of vodka does not a lightweight survive. I'd venture to guess that you're well and truly blitzed, LM.

It's odd because I can still walk straight, putting one foot directly in front of the other which I assumed would be a fairly good test of whether or not I am sober... apparently not. I think I am going to go to bed now.

When you can still walk straight, when you concentrate on it, you might still be drunk, and 5 units of alcohol (one shot of 2cl is roughly 0.56 danish units of alcohol) hits a beginner fairly hard.

Urgh

My roommate had some friends over yesterday for a movie night, with drinks.

Lots and lots of drinks. At some point we gave up on the movies though.

And more drinks - from where I'm sitting right now I can spot 11 bottles that we took out of the cabinet - none of them emptied though.

I have one hell of a hangover.

Working on beer number six, listening to anthrax at the moment. This won't be my last, far from it.

Also, for hangovers: Vitamin B1, other B vitamins, vitamin C, sugar, sodium, water, and solid food is going to help you out.

Bacon, Eggs, Baked Beans, Cheese on Toast. Orange juice and water water water. Then go back to bed.

I've done extensive googling on the subject, so I am what you could call a hangover cure expert.

Anyway, buzz is coming in nicely, but I think I'm going to have to move to something harder than beer (especially since I'm almost out).

You know, I'm buzzed. And cycling through 3 inches of snow covering iced roads buzzed isn't that much of a problem. The real problem is drunk people. Drunk people falling down, lying across the road and blocking the street wherever they damn well please. That's where the problem is. since you have to do your best and avoid the drunk bastards. Just don't get drunk on a night like this! First of all, being drunk is partially a state of mind and secondly, it's not very polite in this weather!

Friend has family troubles. Other friend just broke up with his girlfriend. I'm drinking because one pisses me off, and one is celebration. That girl was stupid as hell, and only brought him down. Glad he finally realized it.

Just beat Bioshock 2. With a lot of help. I have really fast internet, but it's still taking Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory forever to finish downloading (5.39 gigs). One of my favorite single-player games. I hope it finishes downloading before I am beyond cognisance.

For me, no matter what I do there are still some effects of a hangover all day long. The major effects, however, can be treated with various foods and beverages as previously stated by our resident hangover cure expert, me.

I'm used to hangovers lasting all day, since I tend to get hit fairly hard - it's when the hangover lasts well into the second day that I start to be annoyed. At least it's starting to lift slightly now, my headache isn't that bad any more, and I'm starting to think that I might be able to keep food down.

You guys may have the same symptoms as me, but I get soul-rending existentialist crisis hangovers from time to time that are just awful. I'm not in pain or nauseated, I just feel like I'm 40 seconds from fainting the entire day. Food and water don't change it. Only thing I've found that helps is Vitamin B complexes and going to sleep the next night. Awful. Main reason I try not to ever drink over a certain limit, which is constantly changing.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I get; orange juice is the best drink I have tried to help it, but it never fully goes away. Luckily I never had a hangover last more than a day.

Anyway, I am pretty much out of food in the house, have no orange juice, nothing to help with tomorrows hangover. It's not stopping me from drinking.

It's after 3:30 in the morning, the last sleep I got was from around 11:00 and 12:00 to about 15:00 on Thursday (and I think I had been awake for around 18-24 hours at that point). Now I am feeling the effects of copious amounts of alcohol and a little bit of sleep deprivation (which is a horrible feeling).
