A moment of silence

Postby Lani » Fri Jan 12, 2007 9:00 pm UTC

The inventor of Top Ramen Cup o' Noodles has passed away.

NY Times story here.

I have many a fond memory of living off of ramen during my poor college years...and post-college, too.

Let's all say a few words in thanks to this great man, whose invention was a boon to poor students everywhere.

*stares quizzically, unsure whether to take a moment in silence or say a few words*

I don't like Ramen. It tastes yucky.
*runs like hell*

He really did save lives, not merely for college students but it was really important for the society at that time.
