We recently had a note-taking class with the school's tutor. She works with the year twelves to help them take notes for the HSC. That may be how some people know how to take notes (by getting help).

She may not have helped you, but everyone else went out and bought coloured pens and paper and post-it notes etc.

I simply started TAKING notes.

so I have my eval coming up and I'm to make a list of everything I do on a normal day and then special tasks I am given.
It is one of the few times I actually write, and even though I was just jotting down stuff, I decided to share.
I'm going to say this is my normal handwriting. Not trying to be anything but what it normall is.

In fact, this isn't really a 'natural handwriting', I copy letters from different sources. If i find a letter i like in a text or a book, i copy it ^^ and add modifications sometimes.

Here's my handwriting, in three different alphabets! At the bottom of the Japanese part are the hiragana and katakana tables, but I didn't have enough room so I had to put some letters on the side. :) It's ugly, I know.

Three examples of various note-taking. They were all taken during the same lesson, though, and are strangely similar even for the that- so many of my exams have been handed back with confused comments on the 6 or so various styles I used on the one page. If I could find one of those old papers...

Really typical of the way I write- I always have arrows shooting all over everything.
It's pretty illegible sometimes; I have had to ask a friend to decipher certain words often, and I seem to add an 'e' to any word ending in 'th'.

My quick scribble of all alphabets I can think of.

Watch out! The Cyrillic line does not really make much sense. Take with ~5g of salt.

A quick run-through of everything.

  • The Is and Js look like that because of Terminal NotePad Syndrome (i. e. seeing Lucida Console too much).
  • I'm very bad at Xis.
  • The Cyrillic line does not make much sense because I just took them at random.
  • I write in Traditional Chinese.

Some samples of my writing...

Ok... the first one is my quick scribbling handwriting. Often gets a lot loopier when I'm not concentrating or really have to write quick. Sorry about the creepy eye doodle. Doesn't come out so well in Sharpie...

The second one is my 'neat' handwriting. That is a snapshot of my written-up lecture notes. Very exciting stuff...

Is it girly...? Probably *shrug* I quite like it...
