confession: I saw my ex-girlfriend on campus today. I didn't say hi because I wasn't sure it was her. Or maybe it's because I haven't forgiven her for how she left me.

Confession: As antisocial as I've convinced myself I am, I still got a little fuzzy feeling in class today (first day back) when a girl I knew waved at me from the hallway, and I still enjoyed hanging around for half an hour talking to people. Yay for high school not sucking quite so bad this year.

I've also decided to stop feeling sorry for myself, because I feel like a major wuss who needs to man up a bit. We'll see how that goes.

It's the opposite for me. Every morning I dread going to school and having to see my friends. I'm in drama club, and whenever there's a meeting I just sit there and stare at everyone, vaguely disgusted by their actions and their constant chatter. I just want to crawl into bed for a couple months. I want to hibernate.

I did this as well. I used to start out strong, be all like YAH! school! im so getting a good grade because of how enthusiastic i am!... then after a few weeks i lose steam, and by the time i get back on track, im so far behind i have to catch up on heaps...

Long story short, I suck at school, which is prob why i dropped out of uni.

Important fess - I handed in my two weeks' notice yesterday. Against the advice of my friends and family. I now have six weeks to find a job before I will need to either get welfare or dig into my savings. This is probably the first truly independent thing I've done in years. I wish I had someone to hold me and tell me it's going to be okay.

Inconsequential fess - My dinner was so delicious I ate two servings, now I'm uncomfortably full.

Secondary fess - Listening to Van Morrison is getting me all choked up

Cyberia, man, you totally did the right thing. It's better to up and leave before you become so dissatisfied that you take it out on your co-workers or (infinitely worse) on youself.

Good luck, and keep us all posted!

And yes, there's nothing like a good dinner to take the edge off a rough day.

Confession: I'm about to go into a meeting with my manager about getting tuition reimbursement for my MS degree, and I'm nervous as all hell. I really hope this goes through: I really don't want to spend $10K p/y for the next 3 years on an education that probably won't pay off in the long run (EE is my hobby, not my career).

I even went swimming (Oh me yarm awkward going as a boy for me.... ) *sigh* I was sad to return home even though we got snowed on in our tent and had a number of rainy days. At the moment I am going through over 700 photos that I took and taking the rest of the week to relax before going back to work next week.

Fess: I just had a video chat with my best friend who's already left for college (I still have two more weeks of summer) and while I'm happy to see that she's so happy there, I'm also sad that she's perfectly happy without me and I'm worried that I won't like my school as much as she does hers. She got into her first pick, a school I would have loved to go to... But I didn't get in. :(

I think I'm just stressed out that almost everyone I know has already left for school while I am still here. Ugh. I do not really enjoy summer under these circumstances.
A good pun is its own reword.
