FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK.

I am recording the entirety of a 24-hour online webshow marathon charity drive for Doctors Without Borders. I did everything I could to set it up so it would run while I slept. Then, not only does it crash an hour into my sleepy time, but my TWO ALARMS don't go off and fail to wake me up 1.5 hours before I actually do so I don't miss and the recording works for the especially important cohosts, namely PZ Myers.

The one piece of slightly good news is that audacity, my backup audio recorder, didn't crash, so i have audio. Then again, the audio's shit, and people wanted to SEE the fucking show, not hear it. FUCK.

And now the two-year-old PHP code totaling the donations across three sites for 1000s of people chooses now to break too? FUCK

I've discovered the true meaning of adulthood. When you are an adult, if you wake up at 3am with stomach pains and need to throw up, you're considered old enough and responsible enough to clean up the resulting mess on your own, rather than waking up other members of the household for help.

Your mother may also ask you whether you're pregnant.

Oh, and you may also realise halfway to the bathroom that you forgot to do a time-sensitive chore, and then need to do that as soon as you're done cleaning.

Adulthood can go take a long walk off a short pier.

You know what I hate? So I'm reading through a long topic (such as this one) and an off-topic debate/argument starts. I get interested in what's being said so I want to read more. Then, suddenly, THREAD SPLIT. And there's no link to the newly-splitted topic. Now I have no idea where to go to read more of the debate, since the split was done (at least) a few months ago, and there's this empty feeling somewhere inside me. Or maybe that's just my hunger. But anyways, I'm rambling. So I don't know where to go, and now I'm just repeating myself. So yeah.

Also, note that my rant isn't meant to be specific to this forum, but this thread was just the most convenient example.

Paper money is wonderful! You can't keep track of it, so it allows a black market.

I don't feel so bad losing money at the club now.

EDIT: Except for the losing money part. And I guess you only get it if no other patron finds it first. Anyway, no matter where I am when it happens, if I lose track of some paper money, I'm going to assume it goes to cait.

My mom constantly forwards me articles from American Thinker, a site written for and by bigoted pink faced assholes.

It's really annoying, but honestly, it just makes me sad that she's drifted THAT far to the right. My dads conservative, but he's incredibly moderate about it. I can't even talk to my mom without her getting hysterical about the liberal conspiracy to kill the babies and become communist.

I think Xeio has it, though.

Saturday and Sunday are the weekend, so huzzah.
Monday is the first day back, so it's okay if you aren't quite on your game. It's Monday, it's fine.
Wednesday is .. as it's called.. hump day. Halfway point of the week, end's in sight, blah blah blah.
Friday is the last day, so it's okay if you've already kinda checked out. Weekend's coming, and you've got plans.
Thursday is practically Friday.
So we're just left with Tuesday. What's Tuesday? Well.. it's not the start, it's not the halfway point, you're expected to be on your game, but the end isn't in sight. It's practically Monday. Again. Only this time, you're expected to be on the ball.

Tuesday fucking sucks. The only highlight is various Mexican and pseudo-Mexican joints that have Taco Tuesdays. And that's only assuming you can find one. And like tacos. But if you don't like tacos.. then we can't be friends.

I really hate it when I ask people something by means of a text message, and they don't answer.

Common excuses:
*I didn't see it right away. --> Ok, that can happen, but then answer it when you do see it. I don't believe that you don't look at your cellphone in over a week.
*I don't have an answer yet -->Ok, that can happen too. But let me know that. Acknowledge that you have received the message!
You rang?

Unless you were planning on controlling the texture of your shit as it comes out (generally it doesn't come out in a smooth stream, right?), I'd say the mold is your best strategy for a successful swastika.

I should probably be more angry at myself. But. Eh. Fuck it.

I once started on TVTropes, got the whole way through a day, accidentally hit 'save and quit' when Firefox asked if I wanted to save my tabs. I then stayed on TVTropes until around 12pm. That was the longest time I've ever been stuck on TVTropes.

I seem to be immune to TVTropes. I think it's because I find the layout of the page to be horrible.

Now, if I were to find a userstyle to clean it up, I think I'd get hooked.

Now for some actual ranting:
Grrr at you boyfriend. I know you can't help that once you're back at uni it's harder to be online as often. But I haven't had a proper conversation with you in what feels like ages. And last night you told me that you'd be back in a bit at around 8:00pm and I waited until 1:30am before just thinking 'Argh, fuckit.' The same thing has happened tonight. It's 2:00am in the morning. I wish I wasn't so bitchy and grumpy but I am getting annoyed at all of this. It's going to be a difficult amount of time here but it's probably a lot easier to cope if you're the one going out and having all the fun and not the person stuck at home. Thankfully I'm going to uni this year but I forgot how socially isolated it makes me feel when the boyfriend goes out all the time and I am stuck here just waiting until he gets back so that I can have a proper conversation with him maybe.

GAH! FUCKING MICROWAVE! Why wont you WORK? Seriously, I just want to make some popcorn! Is it too much to ask that you go for three minutes instead of stopping after 2-15 seconds? I mean, you cooked my soup earlier, and I had to leave it in for just as long! And seriously, you worked less than two weeks ago, why did you decide to stop working a few days ago?
