Why is the other one swearing so much?
makes no sense to me.
I see the pun because of the relation to the other thread, I just don't see a reason for the swearing, makes me think I'm missing a joke.

Also, if you;re suggesting that the idea of this thread is to make unfunny edits you're kind of wrong.
Even the ones that quite perfectly remove the humour from the original comics are funny because of their context; we know they were funny and so the contrast is amusing.

Right, it's not supposed to make sense. It's worsening xkcd by removing the humor, but keeping the recent scientific aspects...

But... but that's not interesting at all!
There's no wit, no humour; you've just spat a reference to something else onto a tangentially related comic and added swearwords for no good reason.
Am I missing something?

Humour is subjective.
I found it mildly amusing.

You're missing the original point of this thread, apparently.
Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.

No no, I get the idea is to remove the punchline or the thing that takes each situation from ordinary to amusing, but that's not what was done here.
The comic wasn't xkcd minus something, it was xkcd minus something with something else replacing it and then lots of swearing.
Totally different and neither the original intent of the thread nor the new use of the thread which seems to have arisen.

My brains probably not working.

Nope, that's what I did. I took his nice drawings and thought up a different scenario for his characters. Making it slightly worse. There aren't rules in how that can be done, is there?

Oh. I was afraid I had broken a rule. I looked in the first post and the OP was pretty vague. I usually don't want to mess with his artistry but this time I had to white out the furry booths in the back. You know, I've never met a furry in real life. Do they really exist or are they like unicorns?
