Today I learned that my step-aunt has brain cancer. And there's nothing the doctors can do.

That at current predictions, 1/5 people in Australia will be infected with swine flu.
Also that I'm not worried about it.
Also that I am still fantastic at procrastination.

Today I learned what a white-fleshed sweet potato tastes like, both raw and roasted. It seems a bit tart in comparison to an orange-fleshed sweet potato.

Today I learned you're not supposed to use I Can't Believe It's Not Butter in a rice cereal treat, since it's mostly water and vegetable oil. (Even though the recipe called for margarine, I really should have used real butter there. Now I'll probably have to consume the entire tray of botched treats by myself.)

No, it's really quite hard to do with such light paper. But it's not bad for learning on, what with it being super-cheap and all.

And now I have this terrifying (yet intriguing) mental image of preparing food through boiling but using mint sauce as a broth.

Today I learned it's quite hard to change the base number of a logarithm. I actually have no idea how you're supposed to make a single ylog(x) out of 2log(3)+5log(8). I wonder if I should know that.

Nah, it's dead easy: log_a(c) = log_b(c)/log_b(a).

Today I Learned that it's a good idea to chart your sleep cycle, in case you happen to come down with a fever, headache, and possibly strep infection the next day.

I also learned that I can swallow small Ibuprofen pills. Lots of them. Too many, probably, but apparently fevers aren't good to have.
