I think it's a law somewhere that every town, no matter how small, NEEDS a chinese restaurant.

....Damn. Now I gotta get Chinese for lunch.

And on another not I learned today that I have a hard time spelling the word restaurant.

Today I learned I'm a lucky 1/100 people that have a reaction to the anesthetic they used when I got two fillings earlier this week. Which means that my tongue is going to be numb for a while, and I get to take some steroids to help deal with the inflammation.

My prototype (We look alike, I'm referred to as her clone) went to Sweden for a year last year.

One of the things she missed most was the local Chinese takeout which is really cheap and delicious. She reckons there are nowhere near as many Chinese restaurants over there as there are here.

Maybe she was just in the wrong part of Sweden.

Today I Learned that "good enough" is also the enemy of "working".
I've used Phonon and Qt to write a functional music player, but I can't do any more work because it will interrupt the Rhapsody of Fire marathon.

By "any more work", I mean adding features like being able to remove items from the playlist, using the media buttons to change songs, setting up the volume control, etc.

There are still working exploits. The new models patched the hole that would allow taking over the system at the earliest possible time, before any of the filesystem is accessed (thus greatly improving brick protection), and the newest firmwares block installing things to the internal memory, but anything that doesn't do those things (which is 99% of apps) still works. The latest exploit doesn't even require a game; it goes in through the system menu itself.

Edit: I also learned that this board tells you when your post is going to be irrelevant without proper quoting. Neat!

Today I learned that my downstairs neighbour isn't quite perfect. They woke me up at three a.m. by making noise downstairs; it's the first time I've had any reason to complain about them in the ~6 months they've been living there. Not that I am going to complain, of course, one incident in six months is fine.
Please note that despite the lovely avatar Sungura gave me, I am not a medical doctor.

Possibly my proudest moment on the fora.

I learned this about a week or two ago. My productivity has halved, if not thirded, since.

(Mostly because, when the new filter blocked almost everything I used to kill time a month or so ago, it left that, leaving me little choice but to submit my afternoons to the Almights Trope Wiki.)

Today I learned (via a letter) that some of my art work has been put on exibit... And that people asked and school just gave it to them, without thinking to ask whether or not I wanted a bunch of strangers judging and making mean comments at something I spent hours on.
However, today I also learned that given this situation I have an incredibly strong urge to march down to the place and declare "I AM AN ARTIST. BRING ME HERBAL TEA."

Classy, brain. Classy.

Today I learned that there is no limit as to what the guys in my Technology Design Lab class will do. They were throwing xacto knives into a target on the table made of hot glue (the knife was bouncing everywhere) and making makeshift blowguns out of paper and shooting tacks at the tackboard over people's heads.

Sometimes I get aroused for no reason [I guess I let my mind wander too far], but I see it as a bad thing, and reading porn would only make the situation much worse.
I would pay like $50 for a safety switch that completely disables all that. Either "off" or "manual", none of this automatic business... :-/

On topic, I learned the name of another girl in driving class [In case I need to know people's names someday]. Everything else I learned was boring car physics: Braking, turning, so on...
I also learned that she seems to have a lot of experience in the area of deers running into pickup trucks.
See that? While I was supposed to be learning about braking, I was hypothesizing about some girl I don't even talk to and why a deer hit her uncle's / dad's pickup truck. Class is BORING.
