As I would have guessed. Yes, that would be rather painful.

I learned/relearned I fucking SUCK at dying my hair.
I just dyed it brown because my mom wanted me to look normal for senior pictures (partial list of past hair colors = pink, purple, blue, green, etc)... Which would be fine except for the fact that now my hair is about 50 different colors.

I hope my mom accepts a very loose definition of the word "normal"

That rent in my apartment complex has gone up $200 from when we moved in last year if you're moving in as a new resident... and that it's gone up $50 for existing residents... nothing like a $150 break in rent prices for getting in a year ago...

I'm not mechanically minded or detail oriented. Yet somehow I'm working in the overly detail-oriented division of project controls for an engineering company. I think I must be mentally retarded for choosing this career path.

I do agree that cake is a badass breakfast.

As for work, I'm going to try and get a job as a sound engineer. Which, oddly enough, is extremely detail-oriented as well, but for some reason, my mind gets it.

The cheap floss picks at Wal-mart are cheap because they don't work. The whole point of floss is that it's strong and thus doesn't break when you pull it out from between your teeth.

I also learned that when you have a small piece of floss stuck between your teeth it's a huge pain to remove.

I learned a related lesson last week: Be sure to pick paint that will flex with the shoe. I made glow in the dark wellies for a festival, as soon as I walked in them the rubber flexed but the paint did not, leaving a glow in the dark trail of paint flakes accross my livingroom. *Woe*

Could be totally off track here, but... I think the idea is that it could be read that you did them at the same time, as in "A couple of guys who were up to no good started making trouble in my neighborhood, but then I but when they came for my lunch money I started playing rugby and breakdancing and they went away." Even if this wasn't the intended out-of-context experience, it gave me a chuckle.

Today I learnt that things are somehow funnier if you're sick.

Heh. That reminds me of my roommate who plays D&D. He explained how he set up his character with some rule exploit where, when he was attacked by something major, like, say, a DRAGON, his character (a minstrel) had some sort of buff and chant where he could just continually rap while he was being attacked and it would keep whatever thing from hitting him. Which I think is a funny concept to visualize.

I learned that midgie bites have a time delay on them where they come out about 18 hours later.
I learned that the bank can be as helpful or unhelpful as the clerk wants to be.
I learned that it is very very possible that i am the most destructive sitter evar. I ended up breaking the same chair that both my flat mates have that we all bought at the same time. They are both in perfect working order.

Firefox requires more than 786MB free on a disk to download a 497MB file to it, and gets very confused if this is not satisfied.

Somehow, 'confused' seems like it would be the wrong word for what happens when your program isn't satisfied with the amount of freespace on your disk. Somehow, a big mouthful of flaming death seems more appropriate.
