You must be gay.

Actually, I saw somewhere that this could be related to homosexuality. However, my ring finger is longer, so it's obviously not an absolute qualifier.
That's exactly what they said in primary school :D

Oh, wow... I'd totally forgotten the childhood homophobia that seemed to pervades primary school... I still wonder what it is supposed to mean when they are exactly the same length, lol.

Cracked.com told me that it was when they're the same length you're homosexual, not when one is longer than the other.

Today I learned that Time Machine is highly silly and that I get to do the fun thing and delete my entire backup database and have it make a new backup (which it's working on right now). This contributed to me setting up Boot Camp will always take me forever, no matter what.

I also learned that my index fingers and ring fingers are the same length. Cool.

It seems to depend very heavily on how precisely one holds the fingers. Holding my fingers to the outside (away from the thumb), my ring finger is significantly longer. Holding them to the inside (toward the thumb), my index finger is slightly longer. In addition, all these positions can seem seems natural, or nearly so, with the right orientation of the wrist.

I guess the position intended is achieved when placing your hand palm-first on a flat surface. It's interesting, yet it's a generality, right? I don't believe it applies to everyone.. =)

Last night I learned how to use "dd $arguments | gzip > $somewhere" to back things up in Linux.
I also learned that backing up an entire 160GB hard disk block by block is tedious, and dd only ran at about 12 MB / s average. It was probably being restrained by the USB backup drive's write speed, though.

TIL I learned a decent amount about AMD processors, their revisions, AGESA, and how they interact.

Related: TIL eVGA (and foxconn, to a degree) to can bite my ass. Seriously, release a BIOS update with a v3.xx AGESA for my board and I'll be a very happy camper - more so because when I buy your top-end product, I expect some level of support. This is not the AM2 I signed up for. Ah, well, maybe someone's hacked it . . .

TIL my mom tries to start fights with me by talking about subjects she knows I'm tender on. This time was my grades. I made 2 D's, 1 C, and 3 A's. She hasn't mentioned the A's at all and has said that I need to go to a different school for my core.

YESTERDAY I learned that no matter how hard I tired, I will never talk or write like a normal American.

Also learned that my dentist manage to remove two of my wisdom teeth within the time duration of Mozart's 40th symphony 1st movement, and I felt painless 30 hours later was some kind of miracle.

Arguably, that could be a good thing, you know. You seem to have some difficulty with finding the exactly correct word, but also seem to have quite good grammar and sentance structure.
