Prayers Needed.

Postby Jedifreak » Thu Nov 13, 2008 6:02 pm UTC

We have a foreign student from Thailand who's brother was just in an accident. He was on a Motorcycle, and crashed. Nbody saw him, until about 30 minutes later. He was found underwater. He is still alive, but he is in critical condition, and might have brain damage. He is still unconcious. I'd like to request that everyone who believes in some form of god, to pray for his recovery.

Thank you.

I feel kind of insulted. I feel really bad for this guy, but I'm not allowed to pray for him because I don't believe in some form of God? I think I will. But seriously, major condolences. I'm very, very sorry.

Let's not turn a guy in critical condition into a religious debate.

Yeah, I was wondering if I might have accidentally done that. As I said, I am very, very sorry and hope for his recovery.

I don't believe in a god, but this guy will be in my thoughts. Hope everything turns out alright.

I must say that I'm incredibly impressed that the guy survived the accident. In that case, he must truly have an iron constitution, I think he has a chance. Here's hoping I'm right and he makes it.

I lost an uncle in a motorcycle crash last year.

I will absolutely be sending very positive thoughts this guy's way.

Though from the sound of it the universe is already doing it's best to look out for him, so hopefully all the positive thoughts will keep that energy flowing that way.

*Good thoughts*

I don't pray, and hoping won't influence events, and luck doesn't exist, but for all that, I wish him the best. Sounds like an ugly accident.

EDIT: Read your other post. Don't get stuck hoping for a miracle. God or no, there's a reason we call the miracles, and that's because they're very rare, regardless of how much a person might deserve one. He'll survive, or he won't, but one in a million shots fail 999,999 times, so while an upbeat attitude is good, it's also best to start preparing for the worst.

Doctors (in my experience) tend to give low prospects for survival. That way if they are wrong then everyone is happy, and if they are right people don't blame them as much. I think that things could be even better than you think.

I am also sending positive thoughts his way.
