It's not weird, it's just not a very useful test. Because you don't need to score low on leadership or score high on compassion to like guys and/or pilot a uterus.

You scored 36.667 out of 100 masculine points, 62.5 out of 100 feminine points, and 50 out of 100 androgynous (neutral) points.

hmm.

I love online tests like that, so I had to do it =P. (spoilered for rambling)
Spoiler:
Got: You scored 59.167 out of 100 masculie points, 65.833 out of 100 feminite points, and 59.167 out of 100 androgynous (neutral) points.

I actually think that's a realistic result. I don't think I'm very strongly pulled towards either end of the spectrum, but I am in the feminine half.

If I had to place myself on a chart like this, I would go..---{_______me ^.^_______}

Status Update: spoilered for length
Spoiler:
As for what's going on in my life, I still haven't gotten back in touch with my counselor yet =(. I tried to schedule a new appointment, she got back but not with a definite appointment, I called her back and left a message, she left me a message, and I need to call her back one more time (and hopefully get her) but I couldn't do it this week because I had to write and memorize a Japanese speech (Japanese Speech contest - I put it off until the last week and was scrambling to get it done). So I still haven't gotten back to counseling, and that is priority one. (Although luckily I'm not having big problems or anything, it's just nice to have a scheduled time to talk about trans stuff and it helps the logistics)

As for priority two, I need to get bloodwork and stuff done so I'll be ready for hormones in time. If all goes well I'll be getting hormones later this month, I just need counseling stuff to work out (apparently there's a team at the counseling center that has to agree; from what I've heard it doesn't seem like it's a big barrier or anything, just formalities mostly) and then I need to have all the preliminary tests ready in time. So I need to make sure I stop procrastinating.

Final plans:
I think what I want to try soon is going out somewhere as a girl. My kinda-plan is to test it by going to counseling as a girl, since it isn't really a risk there, and if that goes well and I feel comfortable I'll grab one of my friends and force him/her to go to the mall or something. I really want to start doing that though.

PS: I need to stop lurking for so long and bursting in with a status update; my posts tend to be essays =P

Edit: stupid chart wasn't formatted right (it was in the posting window, but not after I submitted)
Edit 2: messing around with the chart some more

I haven't gone in to work once this week, even though I really need the money. I just can't handle it. I told myself I would use the time to search for a new job, but that hasn't been happening. Everything feels hopeless. I hear stories about people with degrees, graduate degrees in my field who can't find work. I don't even have my certificates yet. I don't have my certifications. And I look for advice, for someone to tell me what I can do to find a job, instead they just tell me there are no jobs, they tell me to look for food service or retail work which would literally be the same hell I'm dealing with now.
Spoiler:
My therapist moved to Canada while I was homeless, which I found out after my endocrinologist requested a follow up before she would do any more work with me, which led to me being strictly DIY for the past 8 months or so. I'm still losing hair. I can't afford to be aboveground on hormones. I made ~$3,000 last year. I can't even afford the dosages I'm on now. It's been a year since I started transition and I still don't know how to dress myself. I couldn't afford clothing if I did.

I don't know what to do. The whole point of starting this particular educational program was that I would be finished with it in under 2 years, and I thought I would be earning money sooner and thus be able to transition sooner. The thought of having to start an entirely separate 4 year program before having even a hope of finding work, of not being anatomically correct until I'm 30 or older... I don't know what to do.

As much as I would like our military to be modeled after the Sacred Band, it's not, and I am in favor of rules prohibiting sharing beds (aside from hotracking, of course). The only plausible bias here is if the roommate wouldn't have reported an opposite-sex sleepover but did report a same-sex one, and without knowing the roommate I am unwilling to speculate.

That makes sense too I guess =P The spectrum could just be a ratio too. (And if I was was gonna go into more detail, it would need another axis at least, masculine vs feminine gendered vs agendered probably. Just musing around anyway =P

Interesting. 80/100 masculine, 61.667/100 feminine, and 64.167/100 androgynous.

Fairly balanced, right where I figured it'd land.

I think of it as a graph, with Masculine on one axis and feminine on the other. In the top right quadrant, where both are high, is androgyny, the bottom left would be 'undifferentiated' and the other two would represent their relative genders.

You scored 50.926 out of 100 masculine points, 75.439 out of 100 feminine points, and 71.667 out of 100 androgynous (neutral) points.

Not terribly surprising. I'm rather androgynous/feminine but I have my masculine moments.

The reason I haven't shaved for a month. That and my skin usually decides that no matter what I try it will look like I didn't shave, it will be prickly again in ~4 hours, and it will leave razor burn so bad that it itches and bleeds for days. But mostly the time.

Eh, I say drop the worry and be proud that you've stopped. I was raised in the South and was pretty bad until about sixth grade. With our culture, I'd say that most people start out heteronormative and have to change their way of thinking, which can be really hard. I still sometimes catch myself trying to classify everyone I see into binary genders, and I'm pansexual.

I shaved my arms this morning, and nobody's mentioned it yet. It makes me extremely happy, though, so I think I'll keep doing it (easier to explain than legs, and between the two they bother me more). It did take forever, though.

Same here; I mostly try to refocus my thoughts from "wow, I was terrible back then" (where "back then" is often uncomfortably recently) to "I am wiser now and continuing to actively try to improve myself".

Well that was weird. I just had a dream where I was fighting a dragon, and then friends with a robot that was fighting a world-destroying animated house, and when I woke up I tried to cry because for that few second window when I was between awake and asleep somehow being friends with that robot reminded me that my childhood wasn't how it should have been.

I have no idea why those dreams made me feel that way.

Your dream wasn't actually about robots and dragons, then. Those were just random nouns thrown into the place of what your emotions were really working on. If you pick away at it now and then, you might find a childhood situation that had feelings similar to the ones in the dream. Or not. (I use dreams a fair amount to help decipher deep patterns in my thinking.)

I feel gross. I stayed the night at my partner's place last night and I didn't have time in the morning to shower (more specifically, shave) or put on makeup. So I've had to run around looking rather masculine. I don't like it one bit >.<

So, another forum I visit had a discussion on sexuality. I found an opportunity to jump in and respond to some points, so I did, with a sockpuppet (I'm openly bi, but very quiet about my androgyny). I'm SomewhatAnon. Am I crazy for being extremely offended by what maggot said? I'm hurting...

Here's the link. It's just 3-4 posts that you need to read (you can ignore anything but SomewhatAnon and maggot)

Maggot was just being ignorant. His entire argument basically boiled down to "well some people have it worse so don't complain." That is a logical fallacy and a very close-minded approach. So yes, what he said was offensive.

I believe the applicable term here is the "oppression olympics."

One group being oppressed is not an excuse for ignoring the oppression of another group.
