Do we have a list of all the famous people who have died in previous years and their causes of death for comparison? Let's do a study!

FOR SCIENCE!

Because famous people's deaths are more important than all the other deaths.

And we have to hear about them for weeks afterwards. TV guide is still showing something about Michael Jackson every day.

I'm so sick of seeing shit about Michael Jackon.

At least the Anna Nicole Smith thing is finally over with I think. Every now and then you'll see something on her kid, but that's it...

Yo, I'm gonna let you finish, but the Grammys are the one of the best music awards show in history.

EDIT: Also, I just wanna say that 1959 is the worst year for celebrity deaths, when we lost Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper, and Buddy holly on the same day.

So, the reason everyone's actually making a big deal out of these particular people dying is that they happened so close together, But that's not a good reason, and it's fucking annoying, so I really wish people woould shut upabout it.
Just FYI, the guy isn't avatar isn't me. But he seems pretty cool.

Those aren't the only famous male Americans that died this year:
John Updike - lung cancer
Dom DeLouise - complications due to cancer
John Hughes - heart attack

Those are the only people I know of who died in those ways. There's also David Carradine and Walter Cronkite, who didn't die from either of those causes.

Wow heart attack and cancer. It's pretty rare to see people dieing of those things these days.

Thankfully, they're pretty rare, yeah. Especially since there's no singular thing which causes both, especially not one that 19.8% [as of 2007] of Americans participate in! Besides, since when do we care about things like evidence? Anecdotes, random stuff you pull out of your cavernous innards, and extremely limited personal experience are just as good.

Actually, I bet this would make an awesome question for yahoo answers. You'd need to reword it, add in some typing errors... "who do U think will die next???" It'd be great.

Is it even worth jumping on the "random predictions based on nothing mean nothing" bandwagon? I think it's pretty full already, I'll catch the next one.

As another Jew, I have to say that I do find the first part funny. But then, I find it funny even when it's said in earnest, since it's so absurd (and unoriginal!—"Jewish * conspiracy" gets ~3.4 million hits on Google, and accusations date back at least as far as the renaissance).
